Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

THIS WAS A FULL REBUILD...

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I bought this 99 Mustang Cobra as a shell. Over the next two years, I spent my time gathering parts. From brand new Ford NOS wiring harnesses, to a full rebuild on the motor, which includes Manley forged rotating assembly, forged crank, Teksid block, MMR timing set, Todd Warren cams, billet oil pump gears, and ARP hardware throughout. It even has exhaust exits through a set of BBK long tube headers, catted X-pipe and Borla S type mufflers. It has a rebuilt TR3650 trans, Ram clutch, rebuilt 8.8 solid rear axle, 3:73 gears, and all tubular suspension parts and coil overs.

The paint is factory Rio Red from 99 featuring 35th Anniversary side skirts, Saleen down force wing, and 4” cowl hood. Car has been fully resprayed from top to bottom including the underside. This was a full rebuild from legitimately a shell with a title to the pictures you see here.

HE SAID I’D NEVER BUY ONE...

My name is MaryKay Orcutt and this is my 2017 Mustang GT Coyote. She has about 50k miles. I drive her maybe 6000 miles a year.

I named her “Bluestrips” due to I was going through a bad breakup and he said I’d never buy one. So here we are today!

I own two 5.0 Coyotes now. So let’s just say I did buy one and then made my point a second time!

HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL ON THE ROAD...

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

Ford is in my DNA. I was born in Detroit, Michigan. Home of Ford, Motown, Vernors, and Tulips to mention a few. My father was a draftsman in the 60s to the 90s at Ford River Rouge Plant in Dearborn, Michigan. He was old school and only drew with a pencil on paper until the day he retired. He designed the entire front interior dash and gauges for a Mustang. I don’t remember what year the design ended up in. Several other members of my family worked for Ford. One uncle worked for GM. He was the rebel. LOL . My brother James was the first one to buy a White 72 Mach 1 in high school while living in Michigan. Unfortunately he was t-boned in a snow storm making a left as they could not see him. He bought a second 72 Mach 1 while living in California in 1984. When he passed away it was gifted to my son who still has the car in Piedmont, SC.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. dio and I added a back up camera. The original owner put MBRP headers and pipes on the car. It has a sweet sound. My tag says it all “IM LOUD.” My family says it describes me perfectly as well as the car. Hope to see you all on the road.

Happy driving!

I finally was able to purchase the Mustang I had always wanted, a 2013 Gen 5 S197 GT. October of 2023, I purchased Nila. My favorite part of the car is the front end and those round fog lights. It screams muscle car. She is Impact Blue Metallic with hand painted white stripes. I added new rims, tires and the wrap on the sides. I wanted to make it my own and stand out in a crowd of Mustangs. I love going to cars and coffees, car shows, and just cruising with my friends on the back roads of SC. The only other modifications are the Android auto ra-

I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE VAPOR BLUE...

My name is Ian Bostock and this is my right hand drive, Australian delivered 2024 Ford Mustang GT with Performance Pack and Night Pony Pack with Magnaride (specifications differ from U.S. models). I call it Night Pony.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I have always liked Mustangs but bought my first, an S550 back in 2016 when they were first exported to Australia. Unfortunately I made the mistake of selling it due to lack of use and later regretted it immensely. When the S650 was announced, I fell in love with the Vapor Blue so decided to order one with the Night Pony / black pack - I had to wait 13 months for it to arrive but well worth the wait.

I recently added black PPF accents / Ford Performance Pack lettering, H-Pipe and MP Concepts front splitter. Lowering and 20” wheels are next on the agenda.

LEAVE A MARK THAT NEVER FADES...

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

Some cars come and go. Others leave a mark that never fades. For me, the Roush Mustang was always unfinished business. After owning my first Roush more than fifteen years ago, I knew someday another one would find its way back into my garage. In July of 2021, that moment finally arrived when I purchased this 2007 Roush 427R Mustang completely stock. What started as a clean example of one of Jack Roush’s most iconic creations has since evolved into something far more personal - a purpose-built show car that blends rarity, performance, and meticulous attention to detail.

This 427R stands as a rare piece of modern Mustang history. Blacked out from nose to tail, the car carries an unmistakable presence. The deep mirror finish reflects every light around it, while the stance hints that this Mustang is much more than a polished showpiece.

Underneath the immaculate exterior, interior, and engine bay lies a machine built to perform. Carefully selected upgrades have transformed the once-stock 427R into a far more capable and exciting driving experience. The cammed engine delivers “that chop” and distinctive tone that announces its arrival long before it comes into view. The sound is raw and unapologetically aggressive - the kind of soundtrack that reminds enthusiasts why they fell in love with these cars in the first place.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

mance creates an experience that resonates with both hardcore Mustang fans and casual spectators alike.

What makes this car truly special, however, isn’t the trophy collection or the modifications. It’s the journey. This 427R represents a return to a passion that never disappeared. Fifteen years after the first Roush left the garage, another found its way home and this one became everything I had hoped for.

More than a Mustang. More than a show car. It’s just plain fun. This is the Roush that came back and reminded me why I never stopped wanting one.

Yet this Mustang isn’t just about horsepower and attitude. It was specifically built to track, just as The Cat in the Hat intended. It has earned a reputation as a consistent show winner, collecting awards and attention everywhere it appears. Whether parked or cruising down the road, that car simply has it. The combination of rarity, craftsmanship, and perfor-

IT FEATURES THE COVETED PONY PACKAGE TRIM...

This 1965 Ford Mustang convertible, owned by David Kemper of Minster, Ohio rolled off the assembly line in Dearborn, Michigan on June 12, 1965.

It features the coveted Pony Package trim. The Wimbledon White exterior, paired with the blue and white luxury interior, creates a classic 60s aesthetic.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Powered by a 289 cubic inch V8, producing 225 horsepower, it is mated to a 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission. Measuring 181 inches long and 51 inches high, this Mustang balances sportiness with cruising comfort. Premium touches include a luggage rack and wire wheel covers.

This Mustang represents the essence of mid-60s American automotive design.

NOTHING WENT UNTOUCHED...

This is my 1967 Ford Mustang GT “S” Code. I have been a Mustang fan since 1975 when I purchased my first. This 67 is the current example. It was purchased as a painted shell. I assembled it with parts that came with the car and some I had from previous Mustangs. I revived the 390 and drove it for about 10 years then stripped it to bare metal and started over. Nothing went untouched. The frame is connected to support the stroker.

The engine is a 390 stroker 445 cubic inch, all roller valve train, and 425 horse 475 ft. lbs. of torque on the engine dyno. It has a four-speed top loader transmission and 370 rear gears so I can jump in and drive it anywhere. It runs great on pump gas. It is a purpose-built street machine.

IT IS A PASSION AND A SOURCE OF PRIDE...

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

My passion for Mustangs started with a love for American muscle and the heritage that comes with the iconic pony car. Over the years, that passion turned into building and personalizing my own dream car, a 2019 Ford Mustang GT RTR known as Rojo Diablo. Every modification and detail reflects my personality and appreciation for performance, style, and the Mustang community. Through my social media accounts under @RedRum_RTR, I enjoy sharing the journey with fellow enthusiasts.

What I enjoy most about owning Rojo Diablo is the memories and friendships that come with the Mustang lifestyle. Whether it’s attending car shows, cruising with friends, or simply spending time perfecting the car, it has become more than just transportation - it is a passion and a source of pride. Being part of the Mustang community and representing the RTR name has made the experience even more rewarding, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to share my car with the readers of STANG Magazine.

SP33DSTA - 2023 SHELBY SUPER

SNAKE

AN INSTANT CLASSIC AND COLLECTIBLE CAR...

This is a 2023 Shelby Super Snake Speedster Convertible in Mischievous Purple with Silver Stripes. Originally we named her Lila (Leeluh), which is actually German for purple, but after some thought, we changed tags to “SP33DSTA”, which is what she is. The importance of using 3’s for the E’s is that she is #33 of 98 made, making her an instant classic and collectible car.

I was brought up on Fords with one of my close friends. Together we had probably 20 cars (not at the same time), but it was Mustangs, Torinos, a Talladega, a Mercury Cyclone Spoiler, etc... It was all I knew - Fords. My dream was a 1968 Shelby Convertible. Small block. Big block. It didn’t matter to me - I just loved the look of the car. I was kind of torn between that and a 69 Mach 1 only because my friend had one with a 4284 spd. Though I wasn’t able to afford a true Shelby I was able to get my hands on a Restomod 67 Mustang that replicates the 68 G.T. 350 convertible. I’ve had that for about 14 years. Interesting story there, as it came from Utah and Canada prior to that.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. My brother in law always said you should sell it and buy a new one with latest technology, etc... I couldn’t come to sell the 67, but was able to get my hands on this 2023. There’s a really super story about how I acquired it, but that’s for another day.
