STANG Magazine September 2026: Editor's Choice Issue
Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

BAELFYR - 2022 ROUSH STAGE 3
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
IT IS ABOUT THE SOUL BEHIND THE CAR...
My name is D’Anne Goldstein and this is “Baelfyr”, my 2022 Roush Stage 3 Mustang. My journey with the Mustang brand has always been about more than just the machine; it is about the soul behind the roar. From the first time I heard a V8 engine fire up, I knew the Mustang was the only car that could truly capture that sense of raw American power and freedom.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
Choosing a Mustang wasn’t just a purchase; it was an entry into a community of enthusiasts who value heritage as much as they do horsepower.
Naming my Mustang Baelfyr was a nod to its fiery presence and the spark it brings to every drive. Whether I’m cruising local backroads or showcasing it at a meet, Baelfyr represents my personal style and my dedication to the pony car legacy. It is a constant project of passion, a source of pride, and a reminder that every journey is better when you’re behind the wheel of a legend.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
THIS HAS BEEN A 6 YEAR PROJECT...
This is our 1966 Mustang Sprint named Destiny’s Child. It was purchased before it was to be scrapped. This has been a 6 year project, that I took on as a gift for my wife.
Destiny’s Child has been completely restored with new sheet metal panels, the engine is an original inline 200 which was also overhauled along with the rest of the drive train c4, and 283 rear. She got new paint which is called Golden Rainbow with Silver Metallic custom stripes. She sets on four Magnum 400 front 225 x 60 x 15 and the rear 235 x 60 x 15 BF Goodrich.
The interior was also completely replaced with all pony interior with the front seats being done with memory foam, the dash, console, and glove box all have been wood grain finished. The steering wheel is a true wooden one. The trunk has been paneled with matching material as the interior.

HONORING THE LEGACY OF MY FAMILY HISTORY...
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
My name is Kaikea Wilinski and I am currently building a 1965 Mustang. I have designed it to be a racing inspired build that is reminiscent of the classic NASCAR stock cars but with Next Gen performance. I am currently building this car in preparation for the SEMA Battle of the Builders Competition and we are documenting the whole process on social media. From the tear down to the engine build, we are assembling this car in my driveway with a team of three other builders who are younger than 27. We are in the Young Guns category of the competition and as you may be aware, there’s not a lot of us out there who want to take on a project like this. We are some of the few willing to build a classic Mustang from scratch and we are showing that there are still talented guys from the younger generations motivated to continue the spirit of Hot Rodding.
The overall significance of the project is honoring the legacy of my family history. I am the grandson of Hank the Crank Bechtloff, the Godfather of Performance Crankshafts. Hank was once the world’s largest custom crankshaft manufacturers between 1971 - 2005. He supplied some of the greatest race car drivers from Dale Earnhardt to Mario Andretti. Most importantly he was a major contributor to many of Ford’s most important projects over the years. The 351 Cleveland, the 347 Stroker, the Winternationals dominating Cobra Jets, the Trans Am Mustangs, and many other famous projects were consulted by Hank back in the day. He has never been officially recognized as a pioneer of engine building, so I am building this Mustang as a tribute to his impact in the auto industry in conjunction to his nominations to the various Hall of Fames this year.
I am using a Crankshaft he built in the late 1990s that was taken out of a surplus order from Robert Yates Racing for Dale Jarrett’s Cup #88 Taurus and it is currently being regrinded, polished, knife-edged, and finished at Sonny Bryant Racing. The crank is a NASCAR spec’d 3.400 billet steel 4340 with knife-edged counterweights and Mallory plugs. We are partnered with 12 other brands to help us build the 347 stroker engine that is EFI fuel injected using a Speedmaster 8-stack manifold.
My vision is a car that can shine at shows but also live at the race track. I plan to regularly take it to Willow Springs, aiming for 400 - 650 hp depending on the finalized induction setup. I want it built as an all rounder, to drive to work on Friday, Cars and Coffee on Saturday and autocross on Sunday.

THE WHOOSH MAKES HEADS TURN...
My name is Todd Bruce and I am from Portland, Oregon. This is my 2024 S650 Mustang Premium Performance Package with 6 speed manual named War Horse. It is Atlas Blue with Space Grey interior. It has a Steeda street anti hop kit with billet rear lower control arms, chassis cushioned with 80 durometer red bushings, suspension stiffened with black 90 durometer bushings, Steeda under hood track bar, Misimoto catch can, and Ford Performance vapor canisters. It also has a Procharger P1-X supercharger stage 2 with big black blow off valve as well as Kooks 3” cat back with H pipe. It makes 722.69 HP at the tires and 531.09 torque. The whoosh makes heads turn driving around and when you press the acelaratrex pedal, you are soon feeling for the decelaratrex pedal. Pre Procharger the car did a 1:27.44 lap at Portland International Speedway and saw 132 MPH on the back stretch.

THIS IS MY DREAMS COME TRUE CAR...
My name is Todd Bruce and I am from Portland, Oregon. This is my 1965 Mustang Coupe in the color Prairie Bronze. It has a 289 bored .030 over with 10 thousandths shaved off the deck, Currie 9” rear end with 3”x12” F-150 rear drums with Kelsey Hayes disc brake calipers up front with a Line Lock, HD 5 leaf rear springs KYB gas adjust shocks, vacuum pump motor under hood for the power brakes and an ice can to cool the fuel with 6 feet of fuel line coiled in the cold can. It also has Tru Street Ram pot mod tunnel ram from Colorado Hot Rods chokeless carbs, Shift kit, deep pan Green Dot C-4 transmission, and makes 309 HP with 322 foot pounds of torque.
It has a super nice stock interior in white with gold rug. Very consistent in the 1/4 mile running mid 13s. This is my dreams come true car. Nice rumble thanks to a 2 1/2” exhaust out the back and a loopy cam. It is an old school street machine with no fancy stuff. Just a true American hot rod.

This is SMKNPONY, my 2014 Mustang GT California Special. My Mustang passion started early from my dad taking me to car shows. He had a 66 himself so I knew when I was older that was what I wanted.
All these years later, I am doing car shows and winning awards at almost every show, for the beautiful Deep Impact Blue color and airbrushed engine bay, glass roof, and all the other upgrades I did.

ENJOYING A CAR YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT...

I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
My passion for mustangs started at 16 when I had my heart set on a Foxbody as my very first car. When Mom said no, I decided I’d just save and build my first Notchback at 18 and thus began a life long journey of having, building, and driving/racing Mustangs. I’ve enjoyed owning an array of models from GTs, Mach 1s, and Cobras, all across numerous generations and platforms. Fast forward to today, “Emma” is by far my favorite Mustang I’ve ever owned.
Car shows and meeting other car enthusiasts has now become something I look forward to almost every weekend. But nothing compares to just cruising and enjoying a car you are passionate about. In the near future, I look forward to adding a supercharger to complete the build.
She is currently equipped with Gen 2 crate motor built by Power by the Hour, upgraded oil pump gears, American Racing long tube headers, off road X-pipe to Borla stinger irs catback, Lethal Performance return style fuel system with 2x Walbro 465lph pumps, Ford control pack, JLT cold air, tuned by Lund, TR3650 McLeod clutch MGW shifter, 04 Cobra IRS, Maximum Motorsports front and rear coil overs, K-member, and full length subframe connectors, Steeda front sway bar,
99/01 Cobra front bumper and tail lights, Cervinis 03/04 Cobra hood, 03/04 Cobra mirrors, and CCW Classics 18 x 9.5/18 x 11 wrapped in Mickey Thompsons.

As a retirement present to myself, I had GT Graphics and Customs out of Franklin, North Carolina, do a Coupe to Fastback conversion for me two years ago.
It is now upgraded with a Coyote swap with a Whipple supercharger, 6R80 transmission, Heidts 4-Link rear end, Currie 3.25 gears, Mustang II front end clip, Baer 6” slotted/drilled brakes, QA1 adjustable shocks, side exhausts, custom front spoiler, custom hood, custom daylight running lights, full roll cage, full custom interior and truck, etc...

I purchased my 2018 Saleen Mustang White Label #020 “Nadine” on Aug. 6th, 2018, and now (2026) with 114k miles it’s been nothing but FUN FUN FUN. It’s one of the best handling muscle cars and the naturally aspirated 540 hp (Saleen Tuned) will get you out the gate fast. You’ll see me during the spring, summer, and fall at car shows, cars & coffee events and car club’s cruises with Maryland Street Dreamz Muscle Cars Club plus supporting other car clubs.
My 2018 Saleen Mustang White Label #020 “Nadine” has staggered Saleen chrome wheel (20” x 10 Front & 20” x 11 Rear), performance exhaust, Saleen tuned (Mustang GT 460 hp to 540 hp), Saleen labels throughout, Saleen lowering suspension, car show ready and several Steve Saleen signatures. STANG Magazine is awesome and was the first magazine to have my 2018 Saleen Mustang #020 in a 2019 STANG Magazine article.
