They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
SHE GETS DOWN THE HIGHWAY QUICK!
Running a Mustang show like Mustangs At Daytona gives me the opportunity to see lots of beautiful Mustangs but even a better opportunity to meet new people. When I bought my first Mustang, that’s what happened. It was like meeting a whole new family I didn’t even know.
Since that day in 2017, I have been able to own three different Mustangs and this beauty is by far the most exhilarating. She is a 2017 limited color Platinum Pearl premium convertible. She has a Roush power plant Coyote supercharged to 700 RWHP and 545 lb torque. She gets down the highway quick! Paired up with GT350 axles and brakes, she stops about as fast as she goes. Completely built out for street or track, she never disappoints. Hope to see everyone on the road!

IT QUICKLY EVOLVED...
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
A 1965/66 Mustang Fastback was my dad’s teenage dream. Many years ago, while I was in the process of building an AC Cobra replica for myself, I mentioned to a parts salesman at a local importer that a ’65/66 Mustang was on my list as a future project. Coincidentally, the very next Monday, a gentleman from Midrand walked into that same shop urgently looking to sell his unfinished 1966 Mustang project. The team at the parts importer contacted me immediately, and shortly thereafter, the deal was done. I purchased the car and gifted it to my dad for his 50th birthday.
At the time, the Mustang was painted British Racing Green, partially assembled, and missing many components. My dad’s intention was to restore it to a mostly stock configuration and enjoy it as he had always imagined. Unfortunately, life intervened, and the restoration never progressed. More than 20 years later, my dad was diagnosed with cancer.
Realizing the importance of time, I decided to take over the project with the goal of completing the car while he still had the health and ability to enjoy driving it. Once the build began in earnest, it quickly evolved into something far from stock.
power steering. The rear features a three-link setup with a Watts linkage and a Strange Engineering 9-inch center section. Braking is handled by Baer brakes on all four corners.
Interior comforts include TMI upholstery, a Classic Auto Air climate control system, and New Relic power windows. The audio system comprises a Retrosound Detroit radio, Audison amplifier, and Infinity speakers. The Mustang rides on 18x8inch American Racing Draft wheels, wrapped in Goodyear tires - 265/35/18 at the rear and 235/40/18 up front.
The car was finally handed back to my dad as a fully running vehicle on his 78th birthday - an incredibly meaningful milestone for both of us.
The engine is a 331 stroker built with SCAT internals and Mahle pistons, topped with Edelbrock ECNC185 cylinder heads and an Edelbrock Victor Junior intake manifold. Fuel delivery is handled by a Holley Sniper 2 fuel injection system. Exhaust duties are managed by JBA headers, custom downpipes, and Spintech mufflers.
Power is sent through a modified AODE transmission, controlled by a US Shift ECU and paired with a Lokar electronic sport shifter. The suspension setup consists of a Gateway Performance McPherson strut front-end with rack-and-pinion

THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF MUSTANGS...
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. My name is Matt Lasiuta and I live in Scandia, MN. This is my 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra Terminator, 10th Anniversary. I have been a “Ford guy” my whole life and have owned many Mustangs. I had a beautiful, 63,000 mile 1993 Foxbody Convertible that I sold to buy this. I bought it sight unseen out of California. There were some things (mostly paint) that I was disappointed with but mechanically the car has been fantastic.
To me, this is the holy grail of Mustangs. This has the typical “mods” including a powder coated, ported Eaton blower, 60# injectors, FORE dual fuel pump, JLT intake, a 91 and 93 tune and other mild upgrades. It’s pushing around 550 hp at the wheels which is plenty for the non rainy/snowy days I take it out, here in Minnesota.
Yeah, I know, convertibles are heavy and terrible and blah blah blah... but none of that matters because I can’t hear you over the Borla exhaust and that ported Eaton screaming as I lay a huge patch of rubber all over your mom’s driveway.

I purchased his 1969 Cobra Jet Mustang in January 1969 upon my discharge from the Army. It is by far, the best purchase that I have ever made to date.
I drive it regularly and have enjoyed it for 57 years. It is just amazing to have been able to keep this car for most of my life and the amount of adventures and memories are endless.

Hi, my name is Jose Rodriguez and I’m the owner of Blue Dragon. I’m a huge Mustang fan; my whole life I’d dreamed of owning one I could work on, so I bought one, a Ford Mustang V6 Convertible, and started modifying it, customizing it to my liking. It took me five years, but I finally finished it.
What started as a 4.0-liter V6 is now a 2007 Mustang V6 with a 4.6-liter Vortech Supercharger. I’m not quite done yet, but I am very close to completing my creation.

GOD GAVE ME A VISION TO DO A CAR SHOW...
My name is Pastor Bobby Norris and I have been doing hot rods and car shows since the 70s. I was even sponsored with B.F. Goodrich with my custom Trans Am! Over the years, I gained more sponsors like K&N Filters, Lucas Oil, Battery Tender, Ford Motorsports, Shelby America, Flowmaster, Borla Exhaust, MagnaFlow, and more!
I started the Naz Car Club because I’m a pastor for the Church of The Nazarene. I was praying and God gave me a vision to do a car show for the church. We have been doing shows now for churches as well as community projects. The Naz Car Show is an annual event held each year on the second saturday of November.

This is my custom Mach 1 called “Top Gun.” This car is brand new from the front to the rear! The engine is a custom built 427 Stroker with dual 4 barrel carbs and it has a custom built Tremec 6 speed transmission. Everything is chromed and polished on the engine and engine area. When at shows, we have to drop the hood halfway to keep the glare from the chrome from blinding your eyes!

WE ALWAYS FIND TIME FOR OUR FAVORITE PAST TIME...
This is my 1967 Mustang. It was a 9 1/2 year build. Body work done by Metal City Motorcraft in Detriot. The car was a project done by my father and I, which is the reason it holds a very special place to me. I grew up being a passenger in my father’s 1969 Mach 1 and we always loved Mustangs.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. We worked on my first Mustang, a 1988 Foxbody GT, to now this one. Now I currently own a 2020 GT500. As my father gets older, it is something we always love to do together. Whether its cruises, car shows, even went to Woodward Cruises last year, we always find time for our favorite past time. I am from Toronto, Canada.
Most of the mechanical was done with my father. It has a stroked N/A 408 Windsor, fuel injected. I was also gifted a Carroll Shelby signed dash that my wife sent out to get autographed two years before he passed. It also has a 4-link rear suspension, Rod and Customs front suspension, Wilwood disc brakes, 2018 Mustang Recaro seats, TKX tremec 5 speed transmission, and full custom interior.

MY LOVE FOR MUSTANGS RUNS DEEP...
My name is Michael Riccardi Jr. and this is my 2020 GT500. My Instagram handle is @v8venom, which is also the nickname of the Mustang.
I have loved Mustangs since I was a little boy, but grew up poor as my family never owned a family car. In late 2004, Ford rolled out the 2005 Mustang and once I saw that car I was in love. I could not afford the GT, but it did not matter to me, I just wanted a Mustang. I owned that car for two years and then finally was able to afford a GT, moving up to an 07 GT. Since then I have owned right around 15 Mustangs, from the Terminator to Foxbodies.
My love for Mustangs runs deep, as I even have a 1967 tattooed on my arm. Being a Mustang owner and car enthusiast has led to becoming a photographer as well as meeting great people who also share that same passion. Whether it is going on cruises or car meets, I have a huge love for Mustangs.

I HAD NO IDEA THAT IT WOULD BE SO VALUABLE...
My name is Phil Wicks and here is my 1968 Fastback that I found totally unmolested in Arizona back in 1998.
I shied it home to Melbourne Australia and did a cosmetic Resto in, out, and under, and even converted it to right hand drive.
Back then I had no idea that it would be so valuable and sought after these days! It has factory air, power steer, etc... with 46000 miles to date... and NO it is NOT up for sale!
