STANG Magazine June 2026 Issue

Page 1

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

SHE WAS PERFECT...

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

This is the first Mustang I have ever owned and I am hooked! She is my baby. We bought her from a car collector off of Facebook marketplace and haven’t done anything to her. The way you see her is how we got her but she was perfect and didn’t need a thing changed! Yellow is my favorite color and my name means honey bee so I knew she was made for me when I saw her!

We don’t know much about what has been done to her before we got her but she is FAST! She is a 2015 6 speed GT and nothing has stuck as a name for her yet. I love to drive her on the West Virginia curvy roads and she likes the Tail of the Dragon too. She’s won every single car show we’ve had her in including Friends of Coal in 2023 Best of 2010 to present. Everyone else loves her too! She turns a lot of heads, gets her picture taken a lot, and we even had someone with a McLaren move their car just to park beside her for a picture.

I don’t know if I will ever get rid of her for another one but she has definitely made me a Mustang fanatic!

This is my 2008 Ford Mustang GT California Special that I like to call “Blue Flame.”

I’ve had this car for two years and have enjoyed it. I’ve been doing car shows, cruise ins, and I have loved Mustangs since I was a kid. It is my favorite car. I love hanging out with friends and getting to know other people with Mustangs.

I have put a lot of money in this car by doing cams, long tube headers, Flowmaster exhaust, new headlights, and fog lights. I won some trophies with this Mustang and hope to win some more. Maybe one day I will pass it on to one of my sons.

MY LOVE FOR MUSTANGS STARTED AT TWO YEARS OLD...

My name is Alix Bedford and I have a 2007 Mustang GT/CS 4.6 V8, Manual Transmission with 55k miles. I’m based in la Nucia, Spain.

My love for Mustangs started at two years old with my parents being drag racing drivers (Mr & Mrs Angry) and started racing and winning shows with their 1969 customized Mach 1 Mustang built by both my mum and dad.

Fast forward nearly 40 years, I’m now living in Spain and have my much loved Mustang (Mr. Angry). I’m now starting to look at modifying Mr. Angry to try and achieve 600 hp.

The photo to the right is of my mum and dad’s old 69 Mustang, which is long gone. It was sold when I was around six. They’ve had numerous other muscle cars over the years.

WE BELONG IN THE STAGING LANES AND AT THE FINISH LINE...

My name is Amy Merrow and “Jolene” is a 2014 Ford Mustang GT. I’ve been part of the racing world for 14 years, but 2025 marked my first year competing on the track and I made it count. As the co-founder of the New England Grudge Wicked Women’s class at New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire, I helped launch and grow the first all-women’s daily-driver drag racing class in New England. In my debut season, I competed in five races, advanced to the finals twice, semi-finals once, quarter-finals once, secured one win, and earned the most points in the series - becoming 2025 New England Grudge - Wicked Women Series Champion. What began with just five women at the start of the season grew to sixteen competitors by the final race. As both organizer and competitor, I’m proud to have built a competitive platform that showcases female racers, creates opportunity, and inspires the next generation of women in motorsportsproving we belong in the staging lanes and at the finish line.

THE THRILL WHEN I PUT MY FOOT TO THE FLOOR...

My name is Austin Tuttle and this is my 2012 Mustang GT nicknamed “Karma.” My love for Mustangs started as a kid growing up. My aunt bought a 2012 Mustang GT and I instantly fell in love with them. My aunt let me take her 2012 GT to prom and right there I made it my goal to own one which at the time felt impossible. Four years later I bought my 2012 Mustang GT and I was in love!

My passion was always cars. I love being able to go to car shows with my close friends and loving the reactions I receive from others. This car has done so much for me and I’ve made so many new friends along the way. The thrill when I put my foot to the floor and let the coyote scream is like no other. I believe everyone needs to experience these cars at some point in their life!

I LOVE DRIVING THESE CARS...

Hello my name is Jason Jureka and my car is a 2011 GT California Special with the black on black and carbon fiber package and a glass roof.

It’s one of 11 produced this way. It currently has 430 hp to the rear wheels and 3.93 gears. I’ve had some custom body work done with the molded side windows, hood, and splitters. I’ve also added upgraded GT500 wheels with street slicks on the rear. This car also has Air Ride and upgraded headlights, tail lights and marker lights.

My Mustang passion started when I got my hands on a 1988 Hatchback LX 5.0. Since then, I’ve had almost every body style. I’m currently having a 1967 Eleanor built. I love driving these cars and spending time with my family.

WE BOTH FELL IN LOVE WITH THE CAR...

This is “Rowdy Roush.” She is actually the first Ford Mustang that my girlfriend or I have ever owned. From the moment we bought her, we both fell in love with the car. We actually bought the car for us to have a reason to be able to spend more quality time with each other since work schedules can get hectic. We are both into racing and wanted to find a car we could both work on and drive together to help strengthen our relationship at the same time.

We found this beauty of a 2010 Roush Mustang Stage 1. We both immediately looked at each other and decided this was the one. Since getting her, we have done some things to it to help get it track ready. We added Whiteline Racing sway bars and relocation kits, with BC Racing coil overs and springs to lower it 3 inches and make it more track ready. We also added a JLT intake with a bigger throttle body and an SCT tune on 93 octane.

With everything that we do to the car, we also grow closer as a couple. We have all grown so much because of this car and now have a soft spot in our hearts for Mustangs forever. We are also looking for any kind of sponsors to help our track days continue to go smoothly and fun-filled!

MY PRIDE AND JOY...

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

My name is Dave Pruetz and this is my 2008 Dark Highland Green Bullitt. My passion for Mustangs is long standing. I’ve always been a “car guy,” and appreciate American classics/ muscle cars, European exotics, etc., but my heart has always belonged to Mustangs. From the time I can remember, likely in my teen years, I always dreamed of owning a Mustang, but budget practicality took precedence at the time. It was when my dad bought a 64.5 Mustang coupe, decades ago, is when I really went bananas and had to have one for my own!

Fast forward to about 1999, and that’s when I finally dipped my toes into the Mustang world, well, sort of. I bought a 1967 Cougar XR7 GT, which was quite the fun car, but I ended up selling that for a Candy Apple red 1965 Mustang coupe, 289, automatic. I took it to my first local car show way back when and it took first place, which really got me hooked.

Since then, over the years, I’ve had a 1994 Mustang GT, a 2001 Mustang Bullitt, a 1997 Mustang Cobra coupe, a 1999 Mustang Cobra convertible and have finally settled on my 2008 Mustang Bullitt. My current Bullitt is my pride and joy, and has won several modern muscle awards at local car show, plus, the totally unexpected “Utah’s Top 10” at the Salt Lake

City Autorama Car Show last year. Am I done buying

tangs? Probably not!

I KNEW I NEEDED ONE OF MY OWN...

My name is Stormy Fuller, and I serve as a Sergeant in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. My passion for Mustangs began with my dad’s 2001 Cobra and his lifelong love of the Mustang. He now drives a 2016 GT and it didn’t take long before I knew I needed one of my own.

I bought my low-mileage 2010 Brilliant Silver GT at the end of 2024, just before deploying to the Middle East. The car is mostly stock, aside from Niche wheels and Flowmaster mufflers. Now that I’m home, I’m excited to start adding power with cams, headers, and a tune to wake it up a bit.

THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE...

This is my 1998 supercharged Mustang GT with 59,000 miles. My passion for Mustangs started when I got my first car when I was 19. It was a 1986 5.0 hatchback. Since then I have owned four different Mustangs and this one is my favorite.

The nickname is the “Whiny Horse” and my love of Mustangs comes from the performance of these cars, the driving experience, the aggressive looks, and sounds of the cars.
