AUTOCROSS IS WHERE IT TRULY LIVES...
My name is Corey Pooler and this is my 1997 Mustang Cobra, Bloodline. My passion for Mustangs started at a young age, growing up in a Ford racing family and spending countless hours in the garage helping my dad and grandpa wrench on cars. Today, my dad and I run autocross events together, which makes every pass through the cones mean a little more. The car gets its name from its bright Rio Red paint and from the passion for Mustangs that has been passed down to meone I plan to pass on to my kids.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

Under the hood is a Paxton NOVI 2000, supported by an updated fuel system, coil-on-plug ignition, and 4.10 gears out back. The suspension is dialed in with Koni adjustable shocks, Steeda upper and lower rear control arms, and Steeda front and rear sway bars to keep the car planted and predictable. It rides on Enkei GTC01RR wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires, giving me the grip and response I need to attack slaloms and avoid cones with confidence. Hawk Talon rotors paired with Hawk HPS pads make sure it stops as hard as it goes. With just 50,000 original miles, it’s not a garage queen, it’s a purpose-built Cobra that gets driven hard. While it makes the occasional pass down the drag strip to stretch its legs, autocross is where it truly lives.

SHE DEFINITELY TURNS A LOT OF HEADS...
This is Cham, my 2016 Mustang Ecoboost. She got her name for her blue to purple chameleon color shift wrap.
The very first car I purchased on my own as a teenager was a 1994 Mustang. I had no idea what type of car I even wanted at that time, but when I saw it, I knew it was the one for me. I had many family cars after that one through the years, but I have always loved the Mustang vibe. I just recently decided it was time for a “just for me” car and when I found her, I knew she was the one I needed.
She has been my daily driver ever since. She definitely turns a lot of heads and gets her picture taken often. I am definitely very attached to her!

MAY THE CRUISE NEVER DIE AND MAY MEMORIES STAY WITH US FOREVER...
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
This is an all original 1968 Mustang Coupe that I have named Diamond, due to her color, Diamond Blue #2. I am the third owner. I had purchased this car about five years ago from a family friend (Ronnie) who’s wife was diagnosed with cancer. The previous owner, (Ronnie) had the car for about twenty years, maybe more. When I purchased it, she needed a little work like interior, dash wiring, window seals, and some other little things. The car also needed an updated paint job. I have replaced the interior back to the original two tone color design. I have also repainted the car back to its original color. I have also rebuilt the original transmission, upgraded the front brakes, and all smaller accent pieces throughout the car. This beauty has about 64,000 miles on her.
When I was first asked if I wanted to buy this car, Ronnie knew that this car would get the love and attention she deserved since I was so involved in the car community and Mustangs were my favorite. The 1968 Mustang is my absolute favorite year! Ronnie had attempted to restore the car, never being able to have the work completed. I had the idea to make this restoration a dedication to Ronnie’s wife. I was hoping to have the car restored and give it to Ronnie to take his wife on one last cruise, but the good Lord called Ronnie’s wife home. This restoration also took longer than anticipated. Once I did receive the car back, I took that final cruise and dedicated it to Ronnie’s late wife.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. just cruised with a group. The memories that a car makes is absolutely priceless. Dreams of a favorite car do also come true in many different ways. My absolute favorite car is the 1968 Shelby GT500. I have a 1968 coupe and I have a GT500, just not a 1968. So I guess one can say I have the best of both worlds. Just like, I don’t think that when Ronnie sold me this car that he had the slightest clue of what this car would do for me, or what this car would represent. Since I was never able to fulfill my thought of making this a memorial restoration, l would like to dedicate this to Ronnie and his late wife. May the cruise never die and may memories stay with us forever.

I ALSO FELL IN LOVE WITH THE 739 HORSEPOWER!
Let me tell you a story on how being jealous pays off. Back in 2021, my husband, (who unfortunately is a Chevy guy), went and purchased a Camaro ZL1, which was not the car he was originally going to purchase. He went quite a lot over budget on what we had agreed on. I was mad! Fuming! Spoke very little to him for a few days. So, I took to Facebook, and saw a gorgeous Shelby GT500 for sale. My post was that I needed this in my life. I really really did!
Unaware of what my husband was doing, he reached out to Mike Rey, Performance Manager at Gorno Ford in Woodhaven, Michigan. Mike is a good friend of mine, so of course he was thrilled to run numbers for my husband. Numbers were ran, and a sale was made. In the meantime, I still had no clue what was going on. What a surprise was waiting for me! My crew and I were at a jobsite when my husband was on the phone for an extremely long time. I had to inquire who he was talking to for so long. At this time, my husband had told me that he was on the phone with Mike and that we were going to take a trip up to Michigan to pick up my new car. I was overly excited and surprised! My husband had gone and purchased me the Shelby because he knew I was very upset at him for buying the Camaro, and he also felt that I do work hard with working and assisting with our business, and that I deserved this car.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. The funny thing is, that at the time of the sale, I unfortunately had a suspended license, and I couldn’t drive the car home. My husband drove it home from the dealership. It was a few months later before I could drive all the time, and let me tell you, not only did I fall in love with the car, I also fell in LOVE with the 739 horsepower!

MY DAILY DRIVER AS WELL AS MY SHOW CAR...
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. This is the Black Knight, my 2013 Coyote Cyclone V6 Mustang. I bought this car in 2021 in Tampa Bay, Florida. When I looked at this Mustang the engine bay and engine and interior was really clean. The paint needed some work. In August of 2021, I had the Black Knight painted. It was the painter that called it the Black Knight and it stuck. After painting, I had a 6 year ceramic coating put on. The engine I put engine bay lights from Oracle. The cold air induction from Airaid. The MDM battery and master brake cover I put the Tri Bar Pony on them. I put the Tri Bar Pony wall mount plaque on the hood insulation liner. I have the GT500 front splitter and GT500 spoiler. The interior I put custom made seat covers from Seat Covers Unlimited. I installed the carbon fiber interior kit. I installed the Hurst Pistol Grip shifter. I also have American Muscle Racing deep dish chrome wheels with high performance tires. All my modifications have come from American Muscle.
My intentions when I bought the Black Knight was to be my daily driver as well as my show car. The Black Knight has been in a few shows and has received some awards. Looking forward to the car show season coming.

My name is Stacey Manweiler and this is my 1968 Green Hornet Shelby tribute car, 428 Cobra Jet! I call her my baby. She was a barn find in Guffey, Colorado that had been parked for several years. We bought her in 2011 and my husband Rob, my dad Ron, and I brought her back to life with a total restoration.
She has won numerous awards including twice at NSRA, Rocky Mountain Street Rods in Pueblo, Colorado. I absolutely love my Mustangs, it’s been in my blood since I was little. She’s no trailer queen. I drive her everywhere and we like to drag race! Kicking ass and taking names! We eat Mopars for breakfast and Chevys for dinner!

KEEPS THE SPOTLIGHT ON THE PEOPLE AND THE STORIES IT REPRESENTS...
The Hot Pink “Survivor” car isn’t built to blend in and it isn’t meant to. It’s a 1986 Ford Mustang running a 408 Windsor small-block V8, owned by Chris Dorsey and Daniel Thomas of D&T Racing, and it carries a message that goes far beyond the starting line.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. For Chris Dorsey, the Survivor car is personal. Now five years in remission from stage 4 lung cancer, Chris created the car’s design as a tribute to family and friends who didn’t win their battles. The result is a striking, unmistakable Mustang that turns heads at every event, but more importantly, keeps the spotlight on the people and stories it represents.
Backed by VP Racing Fuel and Aerospace Components, the Survivor car competes locally at Lead Foot City in Brooksville, Florida, where it continues to make passes and make an impact. In a sport defined by horsepower and hustle, D&T Racing’s Mustang stands out for something else entirely: purpose.

DEEP RESPECT FOR SHELBY’S RACING HERITAGE...
This is my 2016 Shelby GT350. The windshield decal says it all. I call it my Carroll Shelby GT350. This is Chassis #4760 with a clean Florida title. It is responsibly driven and has blue valve covers, painted blue calipers, and rotor centers. It also has the Thin Blue Line on the quarter glass windows. Matching to the car’s heritage color scheme is a white with blue stripes round shifter knob with blue cobra snake logo on both sides.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. My 2016 Shelby GT350 is a meticulously cared-for, unmodified example that embodies everything a true Shelby should be, showing 47,800 miles and retaining its original Voodoo engine with documented signs of no oil consumption consistent with the model’s character. Always garage-kept and covered since new, the car presents with exceptional care and provenance, including a laminated window sticker, the original OEM GT350 car cover, and the full owner’s accessory package. Equipped with both the Tech Package and Track Package, it delivers the ideal blend of comfort and serious performance, further complemented by an additional set of OEM rear wheels with tires. Thoughtfully serviced and maintained throughout its life, this GT350 stands as an honest, well-preserved driver-focused machine that reflects respon-
sible ownership and deep respect for Shelby’s racing heritage. There’s no such thing as too much horsepower, just not enough traction!

A LIFELONG PASSION BROUGHT TO LIFE...
For as long as he can remember, Mark Woolley has loved the Ford Mustang. Like many enthusiasts, his dream has always been the iconic 1967 Fastback - the shape, the stance, the pure muscle car attitude, but living in the UK makes owning and running one less practical than it might be stateside. Instead, Mark has built something uniquely his own: a modern Mustang that blends American muscle heritage with British road presence. It’s a car that doesn’t just turn heads at petrol stations - it’s shared the spotlight, too, appearing in multiple music videos, including one with UK rap heavyweight Dizzee Rascal. Yet beyond the cameras and chrome, the car has also played a more meaningful role, taking part in End of Life Wishes and charitable events alongside Mark’s fellow members of Simply Mustangs, proving it’s as much about heart as horsepower.

I REALLY ENJOY DRIVING THIS CAR...
My name is Jason Stone and this is “Obsession”, my 2013 Mustang. My Obession has a couple mods. Airaid throttle body spacer, BBK 73 mm throttle body, full Flowmaster exhaust system from the cats back, SCT throttle boost controller, K&N cold air intake, Roush spoiler, Roush grilles top and bottom. Roush brake caliber covers, and Roush hood scoop.
She also has 18” GT 500 style wheels wrapped in Firestone Firehawks 45 series, smoked tail lights with sequential turn signals, and aluminum louvers on the back window. My love with Mustangs started very young with my introduction to a 1968 Ford Shelby GT500KR. From there I have always loved Mustangs. My Obsession is extremely clean inside and out with absolutely no flaws except for a couple stone chips which I have the touch-up paint for. I always wash and wax by hand. I hate seeing any kind of dust or dirt on her. I keep the engine bay as super clean as I do the outside of her. She gets a lot of my attention when the family isn’t around. I really enjoy driving this car and hearing all the great comments about
