JULY 2026

EDITOR’S CHOICE

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

CRUSHER - 1970 MACH 1

BOTH AN HONOR AND A RESPONSIBILITY...

This is “Crusher.” Finished in its original Calypso Coral, Crusher is a remarkably preserved 1970 Mach 1 that wears its history with pride. Purchased two years ago with just 44,949 original miles, this Mustang remains a largely untouched example of Ford’s golden-era muscle. Under the hood sits its 351 Cleveland 4V, backed by a close-ratio 4-speed transmission and 3.00 rear gears - a drivetrain combination that delivers both crisp response and classic attitude. From the factory, Crusher was thoughtfully optioned with power steering and air conditioning - a blend of performance and comfort that made it equally at home cruising Main Street or stretching its legs on the open highway. Today, with the exception of the headliner, carpet, and dash pad, the paint and interior remain largely original. That preservation gives the car a depth of character that can’t be replicated - only earned over time.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquir ing this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

While originality has always been the priority, a few carefully chosen upgrades enhance the driving experience without compromising the car’s spirit. Hooker long tube headers feed into Cherry Bomb Vortex mufflers and a full 3-inch exhaust system, giving Crusher a deep, commanding voice that matches its name. To accommodate the long tube headers and improve reliability, the factory power steering system was replaced with an EPS (electric power steering) conversion. The result is improved steering feel, cleaner engine bay packaging, and better road manners - all while retaining the car’s classic personality. A full LED lighting conversion further improves visibility and safety without detracting from its period-correct appearance. We are proud to be the fourth owners of Crusher, and caring for it over the past two years has been both an honor and a responsibility.

tion. When Crusher joined the garage, it shared space with a 2004 Oxford White Mach 1 known as “The Animal,” which now belongs to our youngest son. As he lacks the storage to keep it garaged, it still resides with us giving Mom and Dad the occasional excuse for a spontaneous joy ride. Our oldest son carries the legacy forward as well, with his pride and joy, a 2016 Deep Impact Blue Shelby GT350. From classic Cleveland power to modern flat-plane Voodoo performance, the Mustang bloodline runs strong across our generations. Crusher represents the perfect balance of preservation and purpose - a true survivor that still delivers the raw, mechanical muscle car experience its name promises. More than that, it’s part of a family story that continues to evolve with every turn of the key.

THIS IS THE CAR FOR ME AND I WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY...

My name is Ethan and as far back as I could remember I’ve always wanted a Mustang. Being in a Ford family and growing up watching NASCAR, the Mustang inspired me and captivated me from a very early age. It represents freedom and strength and the never ending pursuit of happiness.

It all started with my 2014 Gotta Have It Green Mustang that I was fortunate enough to be gifted by my parents. From there, I sought to upgrade to another Mustang and landed on this 2021 Mach 1. I have since added a Whipple supercharger and Kooks catted headers. This is the car for me and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

GETS ATTENTION AT EVERY LIGHT...

This is my 1966 Fastback Mustang. I found it down in Miami and traded a Factory Five Cobra for it. I went through it and made the body and interior mods to make a GT350R.

The car’s nickname is Wile E. (W-eye-lee) Coyote, the Roadrunner cartoon’s nemesis from the 50s and 60s. It has a Hi-po 289 with a 4 speed Top loader transmission. We kept it mainly stock, changing only a couple things for safety and driveability. It’s an extremely fun car to drive and gets attention at every light and gas station.

SHE IS MY TIME MACHINE...

I am the original owner of my 1977 Mustang II. It is a Limited Edition Coupe made in the San Jose Plant. I purchased her from Sunvalley Ford in Concord, California for my 21st birthday. There was a sticker on the car that said “Made in California for Californians”... that was me!

Affectionately named Mighty Whitey, she is my time machine and we have traveled many miles over the years.

Four years ago I started a restomod project with the help of a couple of friends. Mostly made improvements under the hood and a 5 lug conversion for better wheel and tire selection in addition to disc brakes. The interior was completed and includes original plaid style cloth on upholstery.

JOLENE - 2007

SHE DOES LIKE TO BE DRIVEN...

This car is a very special one in many ways. She was originally a black 2007 Mustang GT that was one of approximately 5700 cars sent to Shelby American in Las Vegas to become a Shelby GT. The car was designated as a Ford Show Vehicle and spent the first nearly dozen years in a museum. I am the second owner of “Jolene” other than Ford, and immediately after I acquired her in 2018 I shipped her back to Shelby for an upconversion to become a rare Shelby GT/SC. Shelby installed a Whipple supercharger and a Ford Racing throttle body, an upgraded 3.73 rear end and Brembo brakes, a medium draw functional hood and 20” Shelby GT wheels for an updated look, among other pieces. Jolene is one of the rare autos to have the legendary Shelby team perform its magic not once, but twice. I have to laugh out loud when some “expert” offers the opinion verbally or in writing that this is “not a real Shelby.” Nothing could be further from the truth!

The GT/SC is generally a garage queen befitting such a rare piece of automotive history, but when she comes out of the garage she does like to be driven in a, um, spirited manner. She has even made some hot laps at perhaps one of the finest road courses in the US, Sonoma Raceway. Still showing few-

er than 10,000 miles after nearly 20 years, Jolene is a crowd pleaser and a trophy winner nearly everywhere she travels. Most of all, she has direct lineage to the awesome Shelby Mustangs of the 60s.

COPPERHEAD - 1987 MUSTANG LX COBRA

CLONE

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

THE ONE YOU COMMIT TO PERFECTING...

This is my 1987 LX TTOP Cobra clone with custom paint, custom interior, and under the hood it has a Dart 363, AFR 220 heads, Ed Curtis cam, and a Novi 2000 supercharger. My Foxbody Mustang “Copperhead” isn’t just another car I’ve owned - it’s the one that became a reflection of everything I’ve learned, built, and dreamed about over the years.

I’ve had six Foxbodys in my life, each one special in its own way, but this one stayed. For fifteen years it has grown alongside me, evolving from a vision into something deeply personal. Every modification tells part of my story - long nights planning upgrades, chasing the perfect look, and refusing to settle for ordinary. This car wasn’t rushed; it was crafted over time, shaped by patience, experience, and a clear vision of what I wanted a Mustang to be.

Out of all six I’ve owned, this gold Foxbody stands alone as the most unique and fully realized expression of my passion, proving that sometimes the right car isn’t the first one you buy, but the one you commit to perfecting.

What makes this Foxbody different is that nothing was left untouched. The custom paint sets it apart before it even starts, the interior was built to match the personality of the car, and the motor was created to deliver the performance I always imagined. The wheels, stance, and sound system were chosen not just for style but for presence - a complete build executed at a level none of my previous Mustangs ever reached.

I JUST MAKE POOR FINANCIAL CHOICES...

This is my 1970 Mustang Coupe. I’ve owned her for 36 years. She was a birthday gift from my then girlfriend, now wife, and I’m proud to say I still have them both.

Her official name is “The Other Woman,” and she’s equipped with a 347 stroker engine, Twisted Wedge heads, long tube headers, Projection 3 EFI, MSD ignition, Borg Warner power steering conversion, 4-speed top loader, and Ram racing clutch with hydraulic slave.

I have done ALL the work myself except the paint. I also recently added a 2007 Shelby GT500 to the collection. People often ask if I’m rich. I’m not. I just make poor financial choices!

My name is Peter Semetis and this is my 1972 Mustang. It is a documented, unrestored original, off line built 351 Q code 4 speed with sportsroof and part of the EPA $7 million law suite imposed to Ford for cooking the books to certify Ram Air on early cars.

A hand full of 351Q code cars were built January 1972 and later in the year were crushed. Mine survived along with a rag, and sold July 1972 off the Dearborn back lot as stock with the Ram air placed in the trunk. You can see the MCA Mustang Times July 2025 issue for the story and pictures.

SINDEE - 1966 SPRINGTIME

SPRINT

A COMPLETE RESTOMOD RESTORATION...

This is Sindee, a 1966 Springtime Sprint that was built in San Jose on 2/15/66 and sold in the LA DSO. My mom bought her in 1996. I got her in 2007. I started the build in April of 2019 and finished March of 2025. A complete restomod restoration. I have driven her 4500 miles since finishing the build. I worked on her for 4 years in my garage. I installed TCI Engineering Front IFS and Rear Torque Arm with DSE minitubs, Gen 2 Coyote, and a Tremec TKX. I built the 304 stainless exhaust, installed the Aeromotive fuel system, Ultimate Headers, and PWR Radiator. I sized and ordered the 18 x 8 and 19 x 11 Forgeline Grudge Wheels with Black HTM centers and have Toyo R888R tires. Eventually I figured out what I didn’t know. To get her perfected, she spent two years at Dan Green Restorations in Salt Lake City. They performed the body and paint, tucked bumpers, smoothed the engine compartment, interior, and did the majority of the final assembly. The rear seat was narrowed and reworked 5” to allow for the minitubs, but has a complete interior.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. This is my 2020 Shelby GT500 with a bunch of upgrades. In a nutshell, with all the upgrades it was dynoed at 1013 hp. I live in Pittsburgh, PA.

Modified by Late Model Domestics, this clean GT500 is generating 4-digit power with tuning from Palm Beach Dyno and a solid modification list. Power is derived from a 5.2L Predator V8 with a Kong ported supercharger and transmitted to the rear through a Tremec TR-9070 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Following the ported supercharger, the supercharger system also features a PBD Apex lid, Kong 108 mm throttle body, Lethal WD152 intake, SPE pullies, and a Whipple belt tensioner.

This setup is fueled by a Fore Innovations triple pump fuel system, along with a set of IDX1300 fuel injectors.

I AM SO GLAD THAT THIS WAS THE CAR THAT CROSSED MY PATH...

My name is David Lane from Tacoma, Washington. I have loved the Mustang Fastback and convertibles since my high school days. The body styles are incredible. I have worked on these cars for years and have learned so much. I go to as many Mustang and Ford car shows all summer long.

This Fastback that I have, had been a 4-year project off and on from front to back, inside and out. I have always loved the Rangoon Red color for these cars. These Mustangs are such an all American classic car. I am so glad that this was the car that crossed my path when I was just a young kid.
