UNIVERSITY CENTRE PETERBOROUGH CELEBRATES SILVER TEACHING EXCELLENCE FRAMEWORK (TEF) AWARD University Centre Peterborough (UCP), higher education provider of Inspire Education Group, has been accredited with Silver status by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), testament to the high quality of teaching and student experience offered by the city’s 15-year-longstanding university. The TEF found that the student experience offered by UCP is typically of very high quality, with outstanding features. An area deemed to be outstanding is the level of engagement with its student body to drive enhancements, as UCP places the student voice at the ‘heart’ of its decision-making processes and strategic developments. Achievement of a Silver rating also aligns UCP with some of the best institutions in the country, including the world-class Russell Group universities, Kings College London, University College London, Queen Mary University London and The University of Manchester.
UNIVERSITY CENTRE PETERBOROUGH CELEBRATES GRADUATION CEREMONY AT PETERBOROUGH CATHEDRAL University Centre Peterborough (UCP) marked a momentous occasion as students gathered to celebrate their academic achievements at the historic Peterborough Cathedral. The graduation ceremony was a celebration of hard work and dedication, showcasing the remarkable success of UCP’s students and academic staff. The cohort of over 200 students that received their awards studied a wide variety of degree subjects, including Business Management, Therapeutic Counselling, Criminology and Sport and Forensics.
Liz Knight, Academic Director of University Centre Peterborough was delighted with this recognition, sharing, “This noteworthy accomplishment is testament to the diligent efforts of our academic and support staff and hardworking students. This achievement sets a standard for continued growth and progress, ensuring that University Centre Peterborough remains a beacon of educational excellence for this year’s cohort and beyond.” Read the full article here.
The UCP graduation comes after a series of recent positive news for the University Centre. This includes remarkable success in the latest round of the National Student Survey (NSS) and the momentous academic accomplishment of an impressive 80% of its students achieving a 2:1 degree classification or higher. INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP APPRENTICES NAMED AS FINALISTS IN PETERBOROUGH TELEGRAPH APPRENTICESHIP AWARDS Seven apprentices from Inspire Education Group (IEG), have been named as finalists in the esteemed Peterborough Telegraph Apprenticeship Awards. As an Associate Category Sponsor of the event, Inspire Education Group further emphasise their endorsement of work-based training programmes. These exceptional finalists, spanning a variety of industries, exemplify the remarkable potential and skills instilled by apprenticeship qualifications. Each nominee has demonstrated commitment to their studies and chosen field, supported by their employers and the hardworking staff members of IEG’s Apprenticeships Academy.
INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP COLLABORATES WITH COLLEGE MARKETING NETWORK (CMN) TO LAUNCH NATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR ADULT EDUCATION REVIVAL Inspire Education Group (IEG) is thrilled to announce its active involvement in a nationwide campaign initiated by the College Marketing Network (CMN). This campaign aims to combat the decline in adult participation in education, specifically focusing on part-time courses. INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP STUDENTS COMPLETE 559 HOURS OF DUKE OF EDINBURGH SKILLS ACTIVITIES Students of Inspire Education Group have been recognised for their dedication, effort and achievement, having collectively completed 559 hours of activities towards the Skills section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE). The programme aligns with IEG’s values, offering young people aged between 14-25 years a structured framework to develop a wide range of skills that are not only valuable for their personal growth, but also for their future academic and career success. UNIVERSITY CENTRE PETERBOROUGH EXCEL IN THE NATIONAL STUDENT SURVEY (NSS) We are thrilled to announce that University Centre Peterborough (UCP) has achieved remarkable success in the latest round of the National Student Survey (NSS). The results of the survey reflect UCP’s unwavering commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience for its students. Key Survey Highlights: • 100% satisfaction among Sociology students for multiple survey questions. • UCP outperformed the NSS benchmarks across a total of 19 response categories. • 91.67% of students expressed that their courses challenged them to reach their full potential.
