HI GROUP VISITS INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP TO EXPLORE LINKS BETWEEN EDUCATION AND INDUSTRY
Representatives from Hi Group visited Inspire Education Group’s (IEG) specialist construction and green technology facilities this week to learn more about the Group’s approach to skills development and explore the importance of stronger links between education and industry.
The visit saw representatives tour the Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) facilities at Stamford College alongside the Centre for Green Technology (CGT) at Peterborough College, gaining insight into how IEG is preparing students for careers in construction, sustainability and emerging green industries.

DFE VISIT HIGHLIGHTS IEG’S ROLE IN NATIONAL SKILLS DISCUSSIONS
Inspire Education Group (IEG) recently welcomed representatives from the Department for Education (DfE) for an official visit focused on the future of post-16 English and maths qualifications.
The visit brought together colleagues from across the group to contribute to important national discussions surrounding the proposed Level 1 English and maths qualification reforms and their impact on student progression, aspiration, and long-term outcomes.

PETERBOROUGH COLLEGE STUDENTS EXPERIENCE “A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN RAF CHEF” AT RAF WITTERING
Catering and Hospitality students from Peterborough College recently traded the classroom for the flight line, taking part in an immersive “Day in the Life of an RAF Chef” experience at RAF Wittering.
The visit, arranged in collaboration with the Royal Air Force, provided learners with a comprehensive look at the unique career paths available within military catering and the lifestyle benefits of serving in the RAF.

PETERBOROUGH COLLEGE CELEBRATES SUCCESS AS ANNUAL VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION CONCLUDES
Peterborough College has officially brought its annual Visual Arts Exhibition opening night to a close, marking the successful completion of this year’s student showcase.
The exhibition, held at University Centre Peterborough, provided a public platform for students across various art and design courses to display their final major projects. Friends and family visited the gallery spaces to view the diverse collection of work on display.

ACADEMY STUDENTS CELEBRATE END OF SEASON AT PETERBOROUGH UNITED’S WESTON HOMES STADIUM
Students from our Football Academy took to Peterborough United’s pitch this week for their highly anticipated annual “Play on the Pitch” match and end-ofseason awards ceremony!
Following the match, attention turned to the annual Academy Awards, which were presented directly on the pitch. Handing out the silverware were the Academy coaching staff alongside Olly Ramsey, Peterborough United Intern, who has been working closely with the squad over the last two weeks. The awards, a mix of peer-voted and coaches’ selections, recognised the hard work, dedication, and growth of the students over the past academic year.

Stamford College was honoured to host the final Civic Dinner of Councillor Amanda Wheeler, celebrating the strong relationship between Stamford Town Council and Inspire Education Group.
Over recent years, Stamford College has continued to strengthen its engagement with Councillor Amanda Wheeler and Stamford Town Council, and the Group is grateful for the Mayor’s continued support for the College and its students.
Councillor Wheeler has championed the role of education within the local community and also joined the platform party at University Centre Peterborough’s Graduation Ceremony, supporting students as they celebrated their achievements.

GAS AND HEATING APPRENTICE SCARLETT BALL NAMED AWARD FINALIST AT THE 2026 GREATER LINCOLNSHIRE APPRENTICESHIP AND SKILLS AWARDS
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Scarlett Ball, current Level 3 Heating and Gas Apprentice, has been officially shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year Award at the 2026 Greater Lincolnshire Apprenticeship and Skills Awards.
Scarlett, who is currently completing her apprenticeship with local business Messenger Construction, has consistently demonstrated the technical precision and professional drive that we strive to instil in all our students. This nomination is a wonderful recognition of her hard work and the significant progress she has made within a demanding and essential trade.

STAMFORD COLLEGE COLLABORATES WITH TOWN COUNCIL ON KEY COMMUNITY RENOVATION PROJECT
Stamford College is proud to announce an exciting new community collaboration that brings local students right into the heart of Stamford to help transform the Shack, a Youth Hub in the centre of Stamford.
Working on this initiative, led by The Stamford Town Council, the college is playing a pivotal role in turning a local facility into a vibrant, multi-use community hub. The powerful partnership that bridges the gap between classroom learning and meaningful community impact. By stepping out of the College workshops and onto a live job site, these students are gaining invaluable, real-world experience while directly investing their time and talents back into the local community.

University Centre Peterborough is celebrating a successful weekend of performances and activities following the fifth annual Peterborough Celebrates festival, organised by Nene Park Trust at Ferry Meadows.
Students and staff from both University Centre Peterborough and Peterborough College delivered a diverse range of workshops, theatrical previews and literary performances.
