HIGH SHERIFF OF CAMBRIDGESHIRE VISITS INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP TO EXPLORE SKILLS, SUSTAINABILITY AND STUDENT OPPORTUNITY
IEG was pleased to welcome the High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire, Francis Burkitt DL, to Peterborough College for a visit showcasing the breadth of education, skills and community impact taking place across the group.
Hosted by senior leaders and organised in collaboration with Peterborough Council for Voluntary Service (PCVS), the visit provided an opportunity to highlight the role IEG plays in supporting young people, developing future skills and driving positive change across the region.

NHS LEADER VISITS IEG’S PETERBOROUGH COLLEGE TO EXPLORE FUTURE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
IEG recently welcomed Charlotte Williams, Deputy CEO of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT), to see firsthand how Inspire Education Group (IEG) is supporting the development of the future healthcare workforce.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss how IEG’s curriculum and facilities align with the ambitions set out in the Government’s 10-Year Health Plan for England.

PETERBOROUGH MP ANDREW PAKES HOSTS SEND ROUNDTABLE AT UNIVERSITY CENTRE PETERBOROUGH
University Centre Peterborough, part of Inspire Education Group, was pleased to host a SEND Roundtable this month, led by Andrew Pakes MP, bringing together local education providers to discuss progress towards the Government’s proposed SEND reforms.

CLLR RHEA RAYSIDE VISITS IEG’S STAMFORD COLLEGE TO EXPLORE SKILLS AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Stamford College, recently welcomed Councillor Rhea Rayside for a tour of the campus, providing an opportunity to explore the wide range of opportunities available to learners and gain insight into the impact of Further Education across the local community.
During the visit, Councillor Rayside met staff and toured several curriculum areas, including Beauty Therapy, Early Years, and Health and Social Care provision, where she was able to see students developing industry-relevant skills in purpose-built learning environments.

THE BRDG LAUNCHES WITH INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP BRINGING TOGETHER KEY PARTNERS TO STRENGTHEN OPPORTUNITIES FOR 16 TO 24-YEAR-OLDS
Senior Government ministers, local leaders, education providers and voluntary sector organisations have come together in Peterborough to strengthen support for young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), or who may be at risk of becoming disengaged, marking a significant step towards a coordinated approach to tackling youth inactivity in the city.
The event also marked the official opening of The BRDG, a new city-centre facility developed by Inspire Education Group, designed to act as a hub for collaboration between organisations supporting 16 to 24-year-olds.

IEG recently welcomed colleagues from the Association of Colleges (AoC) and the Department for Education (DfE) to Peterborough College for discussions on the Group’s strategic progress, future ambitions and the evolving role of further education in supporting learners, employers and communities.
The visit reinforced Inspire Education Group’s commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and collaboration, while highlighting the role colleges play in preparing learners for successful futures and supporting regional and national economic growth.

THE ONE GROUP PARTNERS WITH IEG TO UNLOCK BARRIERS TO GROWTH IN MANUFACTURING
IEG, in partnership with The One Group, recently hosted employers, industry leaders and education professionals at University Centre Peterborough for a strategic discussion focused on the future of manufacturing and the workforce required to support continued growth across the sector.
The event, Unlocking Barriers to Growth in Manufacturing, brought together representatives from leading organisations to explore the challenges and opportunities facing manufacturers, with particular focus on skills development, recruitment, productivity and the evolving needs of industry.

DALLAS COLLEGE VISIT IEG IN US–UK COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
Senior education leaders from Dallas College, Texas, visited IEG as part of an international exchange programme focused on technical education, workforce development and the skills needed to support a low-carbon economy.
On Tuesday 16 June, the delegation joined education leaders, employers and industry representatives at IEG’s University Centre Peterborough for a Manufacturing Growth and Talent Pipeline Forum, delivered in partnership with The One Group. The event explored the evolving skills needs of the manufacturing sector and the role colleges can play in developing the workforce required to support future growth.

Colleagues from across IEG gathered at the New Theatre in Peterborough for the organisation’s annual Staff Development Conference, marking the start of a week dedicated to innovation, collaboration and professional growth as the Group prepares for the year ahead.
The conference, themed Future Ready Mindset – Stronger Together, comes at a significant moment for IEG as the organisation celebrates the end of the fifth academic year since the merger that brought together Peterborough College, Stamford College and University Centre Peterborough under one powerful education group.
