IEG MARKETING TEAM RECOGNISED AMONG UK’S BEST AT CMN FE FIRST AWARDS 2026

Inspire Education Group’s Marketing team has been recognised with three awards at the College Marketing Network (CMN) FE First Awards 2026, highlighting the team’s impact, innovation and best-practice approach to marketing within the further education sector.

At the awards ceremony, the IEG Marketing team received:

• Silver – Team of the Year

• Highly Commended – Events Management, for the launch of the Centre for Green Technology (CGT) at Peterborough College

• Highly Commended – Targeted Recruitment Campaign, for the Stamford Sixth campaign at Stamford College

INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP UNITES WITH PETERBOROUGH TOURIST BOARD AS CITY ENTERS UK CITY OF CULTURE 2029 RACE

Inspire Education Group (IEG) is proud to be working with Peterborough Tourism Board, strengthening its commitment to supporting the city’s cultural, economic and community development.

The announcement comes as Peterborough enters the race to become UK City of Culture 2029, a major national opportunity to showcase the city’s heritage, creativity and ambition on a wider stage.

The bid, led by Peterborough City Council and local partners such as IEG, aims to highlight the city’s identity, talent and potential while delivering long-term social and economic benefits.

PETERBOROUGH MP ANDREW PAKES PARTNERS WITH INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK 2026

Andrew Pakes, MP for Peterborough, joined Inspire Education Group’s Rachel Nicholls and James Whybrow on Friday to see first-hand how Apprenticeships are strengthening the region’s workforce and supporting local business growth.

Taking place during National Apprenticeship Week, the visits to Generation Phoenix and PJ Care showcased the breadth of Apprenticeship opportunities across the local economy – from sustainable manufacturing and green innovation to specialist neurological care.

Inspire Education Group (IEG) has been named a member of the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence, a move that will directly strengthen how technical education and Apprenticeships are delivered to meet employer demand across Greater Peterborough, Lincolnshire, Fenland and Rutland.

The accreditation is significant, with IEG’s InterCollege Skills Competitions across Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Brickwork and Engineering in March now being WorldSkills UK endorsed for 2025/26, further reflecting the Group’s commitment to nationally recognised standards.

HOUSE OF COMMONS ROUNDTABLE: INSPIRE EDUCATION GROUP SHOWCASES GREEN SKILLS LEADERSHIP

IEG’s Group Director of Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement, James Whybrow, attended a House of Commons roundtable this week to discuss the development of green skills in Peterborough to support the UK’s clean energy mission.

The invitation, extended by Jake Tudge and National Gas alongside Andrew Pakes MP, brought together education leaders, sector representatives and industry bodies to explore how the region can accelerate workforce development in clean energy and sustainable industries.

A partnership between Evergreen Care Trust and Inspire Education Group is highlighting how T Level placements can support local organisations while helping to build a futureready workforce.

The Stamford-based charity recently welcomed three T Level Digital students from Stamford College, allowing students to apply their digital and creative skills in a real workplace while supporting Evergreen’s digital growth.
