The Sacrament of Bap sm: will take place on the 4th Saturday of every month At 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael Parish. ================================= SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE: Arrangements must be made with the pastor six months in advance in order to fulfill Diocesan requirements. Couples rather than parents or wedding coordinators should contact the church. ================================= CARE FOR THE SICK: In the occasion of an emergency call the rectory immediately. Call the rectory for a visits at home to the elderly and inform or when someone enters the hospital and wishes a visit from the parish priest. ================================= SPONSORSHIP: Sponsorship: In order to be a sponsor/godparent for Bap sm or Confirma on and receive a le er of eligibility from the Pastor, a person must be a registered member of the parish for a minimum of 6 months, at least 16 years of age, received all the Sacraments through Confirma on, a ending Mass faithfully, and Married sacramentally.

...“In the Letter to the Galatians, Saint Paul wants to show the “fruits” manifested in the lives of those who walk in the way of the Spirit (cf. Gal 5:22). On the one hand, he presents “the flesh”, with its list of attendant vices: the works of selfish people closed to God. On the other hand, there are those who by faith allow the Spirit of God to break into their lives. In them, God’s gifts blossom, summed up in nine joyful virtues which Paul calls “fruits of the Spirit”. Hence his appeal, at the start and the end of the reading, as a programme for life: “Walk by the Spirit” Gal 5:6, 25). The world needs men and women who are not closed in on themselves, but filled with the Holy Spirit. Closing oneself off from the Holy Spirit means not only a lack of freedom; it is a sin. There are many ways one can close oneself off to the Holy Spirit: by selfishness for one’s own gain; by rigid legalism – seen in the attitude of the doctors of the law to whom Jesus referred as “hypocrites”; by neglect of what Jesus taught; by living the Christian life not as service to others but in the pursuit of personal interests; and in so many other ways. However, the world needs the courage, hope, faith and perseverance of Christ’s followers. The world needs the fruits, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as Saint Paul lists them: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, ************************************ faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Gal 5:22). ... "En la Carta a los Gálatas, San Pablo quiere mostrar los" frutos "manifestados en la vida de los que caminan en el camino del Espíritu (Gálatas 5:22). Por un lado, presenta "la carne", con su lista de vicios acompañantes: las obras de los egoístas cerrados a Dios. Por otro lado, hay aquellos que por fe permiten que el Espíritu de Dios rompa en sus vidas. En ellos, los dones de Dios florecen, resumidos en nueve virtudes gozosas que Pablo llama "frutos del Epíritu". De ahí su Apelación, al inicio y al final de la lectura, Como un programa para la vida: "Caminar por el Espíritu" Gal 5: 6, 25). El mundo necesita hombres y mujeres que no están cerrados en sí mismos, sino llenos del Espíritu Santo. Cerrarse fuera del Espíritu Santo significa no Sólo una falta de libertad; es un pecado. Hay muchas maneras de acercarse al Espíritu Santo: por el egoísmo para el propio beneficio; Por un riguroso legalismo Visto en la actitud de los médicos de la ley a quien Jesús se refirió como "hipócritas"; Por descuido de lo que Jesús enseñó; Viviendo la vida cristiana no como servicio a los demás sino en la búsqueda de intereses personales; Y de muchas otras maneras. Sin embargo, el mundo necesita el valor, la esperanza, la fe y la perseverancia de los seguidores de Cristo. El mundo necesita los frutos, los dones del Espíritu Santo, como lo señala San Pablo: "amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, bondad, bondad, fidelidad, mansedumbre, dominio de sí mismo". (Gal 5:22) El don del Espíritu Santo ha sido otorgado a la Iglesia y a cada uno de nosotros, para que vivamos vidas de fe genuina y ATENCION PARROQUIANOS caridad activa, para sembrar las semillas de la reconciliación y de la paz.
