SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM: Those wishing to have their child baptize Classes will be held: on the 3rd Saturday of every month at 11:30 a.m. in the Gallagher Hall. The Sacrament of Baptism: will take place on the 4th Saturday of every month At 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael Parish. ================================= SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE: Arrangements must be made with the pastor six months in advance in order to fulfill Diocesan requirements. Couples rather than parents or wedding coordinators should contact the church. If either party was previously married, an annulment must be granted prior to the selection of a future wedding date. ================================= CARE FOR THE SICK: In the occasion of an emergency call the rectory immediately. April 27, 2014 was the canonization of the two Popes: Blessed Pope John XXIII and Blessed Pope John Paul II who died in 2005 on Divine Mercy Sunday. Today is also the Divine Mercy Sunday as promoted by St. Faustina: “On that day the very depths of my tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of my mercy. The soul that will go to confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins. On that day all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to me, even though its sins, be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity.” The Gospel today (Jn 20:19-31) speaks about God’s mercy that Jesus empowers his disciples to be a reconciling community as He prayed for his persecutors’ forgiveness as he hung on the cross. The first message of the Risen Christ is: “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them” (Jn 20:22- 23). Those who accepted the Holy Spirit and His mission becomes the New Creation (2 Cor 5:17). It does experience a bit as a foretaste – the justice, peace and joy of the Kingdom in the power of the Holy Spirit (Rom 14:17) but still experiences itself and the world as permeated by sin. Thus, the struggle will go on as dark as the world may seem, Christians should always keep in mind St. Paul’s battle cry: “Keep in mind that Jesus Christ is Risen from the Dead” (1 Cor 15:20-28). We are sure to follow Him. The true sign of whether we have been open to the power of the risen Lord is our willingness to create “just relationships” with our fellow human beings and to focus on creating that ultimate community where there will be no 214-3

“ Night out for a Phillies’ game next week helps those in need” Average attendance is up at Citizens Bank Park over last year as baseball fans enjoy the rise of a good, young Philadelphia Phillies team. The Catholic Charities Appeal invites Catholics to join the fun with a night out at the park – and for a good cause. The Phillies will host the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday, June 16 at 7:05 p.m. and proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the annual appeal and the 180 Catholic ministries it supports in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. If 500 tickets are sold, Archbishop Ryan Academy for the Deaf student Sophie Roberto will throw out the first pitch of the game. The National Anthem will be sung by Kamal Bostic-Smith, assistant director of the Out of School Time Program run by Catholic Social Services at St. Martin de Porres School, accompanied by students from the program at the North Philadelphia Catholic school. Seating will be located in the outfield (sections 101-107) at $38 per ticket, pavilion (201-205) at $30 per ticket and pavilion deck (301-305) at $20 per ticket. El 27 de abril de 2014 fue la canonización de los dos Papas: el Beato Papa Juan XXIII y el Beato Papa Juan Pablo II que murió en el 2005 el Domingo de la Divina Misericordia. Hoy es también el Domingo de la Divina Misericordia promovido por Santa Faustina: "En ese día se abren las profundidades de mi tierna misericordia. Yo derramo un océano entero de gracias sobre aquellas almas que se acercan a la fuente de mi misericordia. El alma que va a confesarse y recibir la Sagrada Comunión obtendrá el perdón completo de los pecados. Ese día todas las compuertas divinas a través de las cuales la gracia fluye se abren. Que nadie teme acercarse a mí, aunque sus pecados sean como el escarlata. Mi misericordia es tan grande que ninguna mente, ni de hombre ni de ángel, será capaz de comprenderla a lo largo de toda la eternidad. "El evangelio de hoy (Jn 20,19-31) habla de la misericordia de Dios de que Jesús capacita a sus discípulos para ser un Reconciliando a la comunidad mientras oraba por el perdón de sus perseguidores mientras colgaba en la cruz. El primer mensaje del Cristo Resucitado es: "Recibir el Espíritu Santo. Cuyos pecados perdonaréis, se los perdonarán "(Jn 20, 22-23). Aquellos que aceptaron el Espíritu Santo y Su misión se convierten en la Nueva Creación (2 Cor 5:17). Experimenta un poco como un anticipo - la justicia, la paz y la alegría del Reino en el poder del Espíritu Santo (Rom 14:17), pero todavía experimenta a sí mismo y el mundo como permeado por el pecado. Por lo tanto, la lucha continuará tan oscura como parece el mundo, los cristianos deben siempre tener presente el grito de batalla de San Pablo: "Tenga presente que Jesucristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos" (1 Cor 15, 20-28). Estamos seguros de seguirlo. La verdadera señal de si hemos estado abiertos al poder del Señor resucitado es nuestra voluntad de crear "relaciones justas" con nuestros semejantes y de enfocarnos en crear esa comunidad última donde no habrá más división (Gal 3:28 1 Jn 3, 14) hasta su culminación: unión y comunión con el Dios Tribuno y entre sí en el banquete eterno: "Yo seré su Dios y ellos serán mi pueblo por los siglos de los siglos" (Apocalipsis 21: 3) . ¿Cómo me comprometo a seguir la paz del Señor Jesús resucitado en medio de los conflictos morales del aborto frente al valor de la vida humana?
