The Sacrament of Baptism: will take place on the 4th Saturday of every month At 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael Parish. ====================================== SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE: Arrangements must be made with the pastor six months in advance in order to fulfill Diocesan requirements. Couples rather than parents or wedding coordinators should contact the church. If either party was previously married, an annulment must be granted prior to the selection of a future wedding date. ====================================== CARE FOR THE SICK: In the occasion of an emergency call the rectory immediately. On the cusp of Passover beginning next week, Archbishop Charles Chaput extended his greetings to the Jewish community in the Philadelphia region April 3. In a statement the archbishop said in union with the clergy and laity of the Philadelphia Archdiocese that he offered his “prayerful best wishes on this holy occasion.” The statement read further: “We live in a time when global issues like war and persecution have resulted in many newcomers in our midst. They are often made to feel very alienated. The experience of the people of the Exodus has something very timely for us to learn. They were urged to be just and kind to the stranger. We must apply this teaching to our day with greater devotion than ever. “In addition, the Passover miracle reminds us of the supreme power of our heavenly Father. As we recall in wonder once again the deliverance wrought by divine providence, we must remember in our day never to waver from our commitment to the pursuit of authentic justice and peace, and to do so without fear. “As you gather for Passover observances this year, I pray that the local Jewish community will find renewed courage from the Exodus experience in the face of recent threats and anti-Semitic attacks. You must draw strength from the fact that the same loving Father in heaven who guided Moses and the chosen people continues to guide you now even in the midst of ongoing challenges. “Let us be emboldened to work with greater zeal to assure a climate of respect and religious freedom in our time and place. Arzobispo Charles Chaput En la cúspide de la Pascua que comienza la próxima semana, el arzobispo Charles Chaput extendió sus saludos a la comunidad judía en la región de Filadelfia el 3 de abril. En una declaración, el arzobispo dijo en unión con el clero y laicos de la Arquidiócesis de Filadelfia que ofreció sus "mejores deseos en esta santa ocasión". La declaración sigue leyendo: "Vivimos en una época en la que temas globales como la guerra y la persecución han resultado en muchos recién llegados entre nosotros. A menudo se les hace sentir muy alienados. La experiencia de la gente en el Exodo tiene algo muy oportuno para aprender. Se les instruyo a ser justos y amables con los extranjeros Debemos aplicar esta enseñanza a nuestros días con mayor devoción que nunca. "Además, el milagro de la Pascua nos recuerda el poder supremo de nuestro Padre celestial.
