MORNING RUN CLUB
Cost: $60 SMES Staff: Mr. Ed White Grades: 1st–4th Grade When: 7–7:45 a.m. Where: Gym Meeting Dates: November 2, 6, 9, 13, 16, 30 December 4, 7, 11, 14 Morning Run Club is a great way for students to start the day while improving physical and mental wellness.. Runners will track their laps each session, and the top runner in each grade (most laps across all 10 sessions) will win a medal! Students can run in their uniforms and running shoes. Drop Off: Warrior Hall at 7 a.m. Coaches will release students to their homeroom at 7:45 a.m.
KICKBALL
Cost: $40 SMES Staff: Mrs. Degenhardt Grades: 3rd–6th Grade When: 3:15–4:30 p.m. Where: Field Meeting Dates: Tuesdays October 20, 27 November 3, 10, 17 Kickball never gets old! Join Mrs. Degenhardt for fun, laughs, and good music while playing a classic field game with your friends! Dismissal: Students are dismissed from Homeroom at 3:15 p.m., then meet in the amphitheater (outside the gym lobby). Pick Up: At the field, or students will return to Explorers (must be enrolled). Late fees apply after the grace period. Multiple late pickups may result in cancellation of remaining sessions without a refund.
ULTIMATE FRISBEE
Cost: $10 SMES Staff: Mr. Collins Grades: 4th–5th Grade When: 3:15–4:15 p.m. Where: Mr. Collins’ Room - 307 Meeting Dates: October 26, 28 November 2, 4, 9, 11 Coach Collins is back with his world-famous Ultimate Frisbee team! Students will sharpen their skills, learn the rules of the game, and enjoy fun team play while preparing to participate in our Middle School Ultimate team. Dismissal: Students are dismissed from homeroom at 3:15 and head to Mr. Collins’ room before going to the field. Pick Up: At the field, or students will return to Explorers (must be enrolled). MUSICAL THEATER DANCE
Cost: $50 SMES Staff: Mrs. Degenhardt Grades: Kindergarten–2nd Grade When: 3:15–4:30 p.m. Where: Middle School Atrium Meeting Dates: Wednesdays October 21, 28 November 4, 11, 18 Join Mrs. Degenhardt to learn the fundamentals of musical theater dance in a safe, fun environment. Dancers will listen to their favorite songs and showtunes while building self-confidence and learning how to have stage presence. Caregivers will receive a video of the choreography learned on the last day of musical theater dance—no dance experience required. Dancers should come in tennis shoes. Dismissal: Students are dismissed from Homeroom at 3:15 p.m., then meet outside the gym doors. Pick Up: Warrior Hall carpool at 4:30 p.m. or will return to Explorers (must be enrolled). DANCE SAMPLER
Cost: $50 SMES Staff: Mrs. Degenhardt Grades: 2nd–5th Grade When: 3:15–4:30 p.m. Where: Middle School Atrium Meeting Dates: Thursdays October 22, 29 November 5, 12, 19 Join Mrs. Degenhardt for a dance sampler intramural experience. Each week, dancers will experience a full introductory dance lesson in a different dance style, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, and hip hop—no dance experience required. Dancers should come in tennis shoes. Dance shoes may be worn if available. Dismissal: Students are dismissed from Homeroom at 3:15 p.m., then meet outside the gym doors. Our youngest spiritmakers get a fun introduction to what it means to be part of a spirit squad — crafting colorful signs, learning fun cheers, and practicing their school spirit skills. Then they’ll put it all together, cheering and showing off their signs at Middle School games!

Got school spirit? Bring it! Spirit Club members meet up to design eye-catching signs and learn fun cheers, then take that energy out into action — cheering and waving signs at morning carpool to hype up game days, plus bringing the noise at select home games. First up this year: basketball season!
