COMMUNION AT ST. LUKE’S
Today we celebrate Holy Communion in worship. In the United Methodist Church, we practice an “open table,” where all are welcome; you do not have to be a member of this or any church to participate. All who desire to be forgiven and receive God’s grace are invited. Please follow the directions provided by your ushers. You will be guided to come to the front by an usher to receive a piece of bread and cup, and then return to your pew by the opposite aisle. Once consumed you can place the cup in the holder in the back of the pew in front of you. All bread is gluten free, and we use grape juice in place of wine. If you need the elements brought to you, please lift a hand and an usher will bring them to you.

Inspired by Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, participants reflected on his vision for a better world. St. Luke’s has been approached by a Washington Township preschool that has 10 families struggling to feed their families over the weekend. We have committed to bringing them 10 plastic grocery bags each week that are filled with kid-friendly food to help them get through the weekend. Bags will be dropped off in the bins between doors 6 & 7 before noon on Thursday mornings.
