His exhibit, “The Humanity of Travel,” reflects his belief that meaningful travel requires respect, empathy, and humility toward the cultures and people you encounter along the way.

INDIANAPOLIS BRASS CHOIR CONCERT

The group is a large brass ensemble of about 30 people who volunteer their time, talent, and effort, without pay, to provide music for area churches and to aid local charities. St. Luke’s is excited to welcome the Indianapolis Brass Choir with us. A freewill offering will be taken at the concert, supporting the Thriving Families Initiative.

TAIZE CONTEMPLATIVE SERVICE

A Taize service invites you into a time of contemplation using simple chanting, prayers, scripture and 10 minutes of silence. In times of relentless busyness and anxiety, when the clamor and turmoil of life can be overwhelming, you are invited to come away for 30 minutes to let yourself dwell in the presence of Christ.

TANZANIA TRIP INTEREST MEETINGS

Following the successful Indy Action Coalition public action last month, we are offering a 5-week class where you will learn the philosophy and methodology behind grass-roots organizing. In Community Organizing 101, you will meet like-minded people, find your voice, and reclaim the collective power that is the cornerstone of our democracy. CONDOLENCES

The Graham family on the death of Fletcher Graham who passed away on December 4th. Memorial services will take place on May 2nd with visitation from 10-11 AM and service at 11 AM at St. Luke’s UMC.

Gary Walla on the death of his wife, Kay Walla, who passed away on April 16th. Memorial service took place on April 24th at St. Luke’s UMC.
