VICKY SHAFFER WHITE Vicky Shaffer White is the artist behind “A Hint of Floral” - a selfdescribed “abstract naturalist” whose 30-year career has centered on floral and natural subject matter, now evolving into more solemn, abstract territory. With a BFA from Herron School of Art and decades of exhibiting throughout Indianapolis, Vicky brings a deep well of craft and perspective to every piece on view. Come experience how the past year has shaped her artistic voice, and learn about the stories behind these new works.

Led by Jon Jones, this class is an overview of the Old and New Testament, including major themes of the Bible as well as how they are interconnected. It will also talk about why the Bible is still relevant today.

Starting Point is a 30-minute orientation to St. Luke’s. You’ll meet others who are new and leave with a next step to help you find your place within the church. These thirty gentle minutes of song, chant, silence, and reflection, held together in the presence of the One who offers peace. YOUTH PUMPKIN SALES STARTING SEPTEMBER 28 - END OF OCTOBER
Each year, St. Luke’s Student Ministries, in partnership with Scout Troop 56, puts on a pumpkin fundraiser! All funds go directly to Student Ministry use, Scout Troop 56, and the scholarship accounts of student ministry families. These scholarship accounts allow students to attend summer events, mission trips, and leadership opportunities.
BLESSING OF THE PETS OCTOBER 4 AT 3 PM | NORTH INDY
Bring your family and furry friend for a blessing! Join us at the Circle Drive at the front of the church at Door 1 for a brief service, followed by individual pastoral blessings to each critter in attendance and activities for the whole family. All animals welcome! Just remember your leashes and crates!
MAKE AN IMPACT UWF RUMMAGE FOR A REASON SEPTEMBER 23-26 | NORTH INDY
Proceeds from this popular event raise money for community partners such as Lucille Raines Residence, Dove Recovery House, and more. This year, we’re also collecting donations for local flood victims: lightly used furniture, working lamps, housewares, fall/ winter clothing, small electrical items, and more are all welcome. Whether this is your first season with St. Luke’s, or you’ve been here awhile but feel out of the loop, the monthly O&J Connection Zoom call is the place to learn how to get involved with Outreach & Justice Ministries. This 30-minute Zoom call will introduce you to our ministry philosophy, orient you to the website, share some ways to get involved, and answer your questions. MIDTOWN 3RD GRADE BIBLES AT MIDTOWN TODAY, SEPTEMBER 20
Our 3rd grade students will be presented a Bible. This is an important milestone in the life of our 3rd graders and it serves as a reminder for all of us, the vow we took at their baptism, to walk with and support our kids as they grow in faith. Before the presentation of Bibles, all 3rd graders and their families are invited to a small celebration and talk through the flow of the morning.
