There’s a reason so many reels look alike. Most are sourced from the same factories using the same designs. That’s the lowestcost way to develop reels, but at SEVIIN, we believe our own engineering and design is the only way to create a better angler experience. As hard-core anglers ourselves, we strive to create the reels we want to have in our own boats.
We generate and refine countless concepts and designs before ever moving to production. The result is reels that not only look great on your rods and in your hands, but deliver the performance, durability, and utmost reliability you demand.
Proprietary designs, engineering, and tooling are used in every SEVIIN reel. Drag systems, gear trains, structural frames, and critical components like bearings are built to our exact specifications. If it doesn’t meet our performance and quality standards, our name doesn’t go on it. They we verify. Hundreds of pre-production reels are sent to our pro-staff for extensive testing in real-world conditions with a variety of fishing techniques, lures, and targeted species. Designs are adjusted based on angler feedback, then field-tested again.
We also built one of the world’s most advanced reeltesting laboratories at our headquarters in Park Falls, Wisconsin, where every pre-production and production run of reels are rigorously tested and proven in up to 17 grueling and torturous tests to very performance, durability, and reliability before any SEVIIN Reel ever reaches your hands.
