Dear VA-AAP Members; I am honored to address you as the new President of the VA-AAP. It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce our revitalized newsletter, a platform designed to strengthen our community of pediatricians. As we embark on this journey together, I am thrilled to announce the appointment of our new executive board who bring invaluable expertise and passion to our mission: President: Natasha K. Sriraman MD, MPH Vice-President: Percita Ellis, MD Treasurer: Suzanne Brixey, MD Past-President: Kristina Powell, MD Their leadership will undoubtedly guide us towards achieving our shared goals of advancing pediatric medicine and improving children's health outcomes. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dr. Kristina Powell, who served as an excellent President for the last 2 years. Her leadership has not only grown the chapter but improved the health and well-being of children and families throughout the Commonwealth. I appreciate all that I have learned from her over these past couple of years. Our newsletter, Pediatric Prism, will serve as a dynamic platform for exchanging insights, showcasing innovative practices, and highlighting groundbreaking research in our field. It is not merely a publication but a conduit for fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge that enhances our collective impact. Huge shout-out to Amanda Henry, ED and Kaela Luchs for their innovative ideas in creating our newsletter. I encourage each of you to actively engage with Pediatric Prism. We welcome you to share your work, experiences and stories with our Chapter membership. Your contributions are instrumental in driving meaningful change.
