Trenton blooms ahead of America's 250th
A
s the nation prepares to celebrate America's 250th birthday, Trenton has been adding color and beauty throughout the city thanks to the efforts of volunteers, students, city workers, and local businesses. The City Beautiful Commission recently partnered with students from the Trenton High School National Honor Society to plant flower pots along West Road, helping enhance the community's appearance ahead of the historic anniversary celebration. The Trenton Department of Public Works also played a major role in the seasonal beautification effort, distributing flowers throughout the city. Crews installed hanging baskets and maintained flower displays along West Jefferson Avenue and West Road, creating vibrant landscapes for residents and visitors to enjoy. Commission members credited the success of the project to the continued support of both the Department of Public Works and J&S Gardens of Rockwood. The local greenhouse once
again provided the flowers that will brighten streetscapes and public spaces throughout the summer months. City Beautiful Commission representatives expressed their appreciation to everyone involved
in the effort, noting that the annual beautification projects would not be possible without the dedication of volunteers, city employees, and community partners.
