Anderson’s Bridget Godbout is figure skating state champion

ridget Godbout put an exclamation point on her sophomore year at Southgate Anderson High School by earning a state championship in varsity figure skating. Godbout took first place in one event and was runner-up in a second event during the U.S. Figure Skating high school state finals in Lansing. She was honored at a recent Southgate Board of Education meeting along with other figure skaters and dozens of other student athletes. At age 15, Godbout has been skating for 14 years. As a oneyear-old, she was taught to skate by her parents, Chad Godbout and Jennifer Rouse, who had competed in Mid-Sectionals as ice dancing partners. She has improved ever since under the guidance of Anderson figure skating Coach Julie Goddard
