Dave Pinkowski, who served the Southgate Community School District for 31 years, most as athletic director and assistant principal at Anderson High School, has retired. The veteran educator’s final day was in July. The district accomplished many things during his tenure, including passing a school bond, which has led to the installation of a new synthetic football field and the building of a state-of-the-art natatorium, which is expected to open this fall.
