At the first business meeting of the New Year, the Grosse Ile Educational Foundation, Inc. reviewed the successes of the past year, and looked forward to supporting new initiatives in 2023. Completing its 28th year in operation, the Foundation has been committed to funding life-long educational experiences for the students and families of Grosse Ile. Since its inception in 1995, the Foundation has funded more than $1.6 million in community and school grants. The GIEF was able to fulfill $98,955.56 for 27 grants in 2022. The funding for these resources are provided by the generosity of local businesses and individual donors, as well as SEE GIEF, Page 3
