Registration papers:
All animals are registered with the exception of pens of KAT+ commercial ewes. Papers will be transferred and forwarded to buyers at consignors’ expense.

EXCEPT FOR THOSE STATED IN THE BELOW GUARANTEES, THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE ANIMALS BEING SOLD IN THIS SALE. THE WARRANTIES AND GUARANTEES SET FORTH IN THE BELOW GUARANTEE ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED AND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED THEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE BUYER, OR ANY PARTY CLAIMING THROUGH THE BUYER, FOR ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE THEREIN PROVIDED AND ALL OTHER LEGAL OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES.
1. Every male and female sold will be guaranteed as a breeder if properly handled. It shall be the responsibility of the buyer to return a non-breeder to the seller in acceptable breeding condition. The seller, after a fair trial and the animal is found to be a non-breeder, shall have the option of replacing the male or female with one of equal value to the satisfaction of the buyer and seller or refunding the purchase price. This guarantee shall not apply to any animals that are shown after the date of the sale, for the year shown.
2. Notification of non-breeder males must be made to the seller prior to January 1 following the sale. Notification of non-breeder females must be made to the seller prior to April 1st following the sale.
3. Any animals that drop their lamb teeth prior to 12 months of age as determined by registration papers, shall be replaced with an animal of equal quality to the satisfaction of the buyer and seller within a reasonable amount of time, or the consignor shall refund the purchase price of the animal promptly with all fees and percentages levied against such animal retained by the sale. It shall be the responsibility of the buyer to notify the consignor, and they the sale manager, if such a problem occurs. Any consignor failing to comply with this rule shall automatically be barred from consigning any animals to the following sale.
4. Neither the sale managers nor the sponsoring organization can or will assume any responsibility as to the authenticity of the pedigrees or bloodline information in the sale catalog, on pen cards, or otherwise, and the subsequent genetic performance of any animals purchased. All such information must be adopted at face value. Any special guarantees or claims offered by individual consignors is strictly between the consignor and buyer and will not be enforced by the sale management or sponsoring organization. 5. This guarantee shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller only, and no other parties assume any liability, legal or otherwise, expressed, or implied.
TRANSPORTATION Reminder:
As a courtesy, buyers should be in touch with the seller within an hour of sale’s end with plans for transport of the animal or to physically take possession of their purchase. Online buyers must have transportation lined up prior to sale. KHSI can assist with coordinating transportation.

You will have an outstanding opportunity to purchase excellent Katahdin sheep from many areas of the United States. We are offering in-person and online bidding for potential buyers. Each consignor will have the opportunity to choose their Top Ten picks of rams and of ewes from the sheep consigned. These top ten rams and the ewes will lead off the sale in their respective sections. After the top ten rams sell, the remaining rams will sell by age and the ewes will follow the same process.

Peterbuilt is our herd sire out of Big Pete, another Pearl lineage animal. He brings a moderate frame with lots of leg and loin muscle and an EBV for post weaning weight in the top 5% of the breed.

FFG 1869 is probably the best spring ewe lamb at this point. It seems she is going to be a sturdy ewe like her dam. You can appre-
ciate her width already and the squareness of her hips. Her dam, FFG 298 who we call Diamond, is Pearl’s first lamb. We recently lost our retired ewe, FFG 69. So Pearl and her daughter Diamond are the two oldest sheep on the farm at 9 and 8 years old respectively. This just shows the power of this line. Then you also remember that 1869’s sire is Fireball. Love the genetic potential in this ewe and she is already presenting a great phenotype.
