Client Visit to UAE Headquarters and Regional Lab

This quarter, SPRINT had the pleasure of hosting several UAE-based clients at our regional office. The visits included detailed walkthroughs of our operational facilities, digital systems, and quality management processes.

Offshore Acid Stimulation and Injectivity Testing

Continuing Collaborative Success in Rigless Well Services for Bunduq. This quarter, SPRINT successfully executed an acid stimulation and injectivity test as part of Bunduq’ s ongoing rigless offshore operations. The operation included pre-stimulation injectivity testing, acid bullheading, and a post-job injectivity assessment, demonstrating strong coordination, and safe execution.

Technology Day

On 20 May 2025, SPRINT proudly showcased a cutting-edge portfolio of coiled tubing and stimulation technologies to a key customer in KSA - featuring Coiled Tubing Gas Lift, CarboCLEAN, UltraREAXH, MaxOIL, and the Abrasive Stimulation Tool. The positive reception marked a significant step forward in the qualification process, reinforcing our commitment to innovation, performance, and delivering impactful solutions that drive value for our clients.

Expanding Horizons: SPRINT’s Recent Milestones in Kurdistan and Beyond

SPRINT proudly secured a coiled tubing and stimulation contract with a major international operator in Kurdistan, successfully executing the first job with excellent client feedback, demonstrating our strong commitment to the region.

As a trusted solutions provider, SPRINT completed a rigless intervention campaign for a valued client in Northern Iraq within a record one-month timeframe, delivering flawless execution and zero NPT, further reinforcing our reputation for operational excellence.

As part of our regional growth strategy, SPRINT is actively exploring collaboration opportunities with strategic partners and engaging with key operators in South Iraq to unlock new service lines and further strengthen our presence in the market.

PAKISTAN

High-Impact Plug & Abandonment Campaign with Environmental Gains

SPRINT Oil & Gas Services recently completed a major plug and abandonment (P&A) campaign for a leading operator in the Lower and Middle Indus Basin (Pakistan), executing 22 well abandonments in under 20 weeks.

Delivered through a fully integrated service model, including coiled tubing, cementing, slickline, well killing, and logistics. The campaign brought average well completion time to under one week. The scope included over 185,000 feet of coiled tubing deployed, 293 slickline runs, and 63 cement plugs placed to ensure secure well isolation, all contributing to reduced rig time and significant cost efficiencies.

Beyond operational success, the project also achieved notable environmental impact by replacing traditional rig-based methods with a coiled tubing-driven approach. This shift resulted in a reduction of over 200 metric tons of CO₂ emissionsequivalent to preserving 10,000 mature trees or avoiding the use of more than 225,000 pounds of coal.

The campaign exemplifies SPRINT’s commitment to combining technical performance with sustainable practices, positioning the company as a leader in efficient, low-footprint energy services.

Sprint Oil and Gas Services FZC Represents at Koya University Job Fair - Iraq

Under the supervision of Iraq HR from the branch, Sprint for Oil and Gas Services– Iraq proudly participated in the recent Job Fair at Koya University. The event served as a vibrant platform to connect with a large pool of talented and enthusiastic fresh graduates, many of whom expressed a strong desire to kick-start their careers in the energy sector with our company.

The participation was met with overwhelming interest, particularly from students specializing in petroleum engineering and related disciplines. With optimism surrounding the anticipated reopening of the Kurdistan pipeline and the expected restart of oil production in the region, these young professionals conveyed their eagerness to grow within the industry. Many spoke with pride and passion about their dreams to develop into accomplished Kurdish engineers, contributing meaningfully to both local and global energy landscapes.

Our booth attracted the attention of numerous academic leaders, including university heads and deans from across the region. Representatives from Sulaymaniyah University, Salahaddin University, and Soran University visited our team and shared their appreciation for Sprint’s involvement in the event. They highlighted the caliber of their graduates and encouraged them to apply directly to our company. Many emphasized that their top petroleum and engineering students had already submitted their CVs in hopes of being considered for future roles once opportunities arise.

The event reaffirmed Sprint’s commitment to investing in local talent and supporting the professional development of the next generation of energy leaders. In the high-stakes world of oil and gas, where every delay can mean millions lost and safety is paramount, one department quietly drives the momentum behind every successful operation: the Supply Chain Department.

Far more than just procurement and logistics, the modern oil and gas supply chain is a complex, strategic ecosystem. From the challenging logistics routes to remote well site location, Sprint supply chain team ensure that critical materials, Equipment, and services arrive safely, on time, and within budget—regardless of geopolitical tension, harsh climates, or fluctuating commodity prices.

Sprint Supply Chain Department at glance:

At the heart of this function is procurement excellence. The supply chain teams are responsible for Supplier selection, Contracts & POs.

But procurement is only one piece of the puzzle. The logistics operations are a feat of engineering in themselves. Coordinating the movement of Onshore/offshore delivery, Customs, and freight.

Inventory and Materials Management also play a pivotal role. Warehouse efficiencies, stock levels performance and critical spares inventories. To keep the overall competitive advantage, Contract Management brings in vendor performance, SLAs and Audits.

Sprint’s Supply Chain Network: A Centralized and Collaborative Model

At Sprint, the Supply Chain Department is supported by a highly skilled network of teams across Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The UAE regional team acts as the central hub — overseeing global orders and providing direct support to all operational locations.

SPRINT SUPPLY CHAIN KEY INITIATIVES AND ACHIEVEMENTS:

Logistics Consolidation and Optimisation:

Implemented a centralized shipment strategy through Hamriyah Base, combining unified packing and coordinated dispatches to the UAE and onward destinations. This approach reduced freight costs, streamlined documentation and customs processes, minimized the number of shipments, and delivered a significant reduction in the overall carbon footprint.

Systems Integration & Process Improvement:

Implemented SAP intercompany solution across all operating entities resulted in automation of procurement process, optimized the process gaps and enhanced the overall transactional efficiency. Implemented live tracking tools in KSA for improved stock visibility and accuracy.

Warehouse enhancement and Regional Central Warehouse:

Implemented heavy-duty racking systems and improved storage layouts at the UAE warehouse. Established a central warehouse in regional hub-UAE. This enabled rapid dispatch to locations during emergencies, improved turnaround time, and reduced downtime. Transferred dead inventory stocks from Pakistan & Iraq to the UAE central warehouse.

Internal Audit Accomplishment:

Successfully completed a third-party internal supply chain process audit, ensuring adherence to internal standards and external compliance requirements.

I have been working in the oil and gas field since 2012. In September 2017, I became a part of SPRINT.

How long have you been working in the oil field? How has your career progressed since joining SPRINT?

Since joining SPRINT as a Technical Engineer, I applied and expanded my technical knowledge across various projects with international clients. Through hard work, team support, and the company’s trust, I became an Account Manager. This role has helped me grow in client relations, project management, and applying new technologies to drive business and contribute strategically to the company’s success.

How does working at SPRINT compare to your experience with other company's?

SPRINT places a strong emphasis on teamwork, quality and innovation, which creates a supportive environment that encourages personal and professional growth. The company's commitment to safety, and continuous improvement. SPRINT ensures that all employees, regardless of their position or nationality, are treated with the same level of respect. This approach fosters an excellent environment for teamwork. As a service company, SPRINT maintains honesty and transparency with clients, consistently earning their trust and positive acknowledgment across projects.

What do you find most rewarding about your role?

The most rewarding aspect of my role is the opportunity to make an effective impact on operations, company development, and client satisfaction. Whether providing solutions to clients, improving efficiency/ quality, mentoring team members, or supporting my colleagues, I take great pride in knowing that my work directly contributes to the success of our projects and seeing the real results of our efforts in the field.

Can you share your most memorable experience while working at SPRINT?

One of my memorable experiences at SPRINT was when a client urgently requested a new slurry design to address severe losses and ensure zonal isolation—emphasizing it must succeed on the first attempt, unlike previous jobs. I suggested a new design that had never been used before and client was interested in it. We committed to developing it within a week time. Back at the office, our team immediately began the work on it, and within five days, we finalized and proposed the solution. It was successfully implemented, achieving zonal isolation on the first attempt, and the client was highly satisfied. This success was later documented in a case study and presented as an SPE paper at both GOTECH24 and OPES25 conference. It was a clear reflection of our technical capability, teamwork, and SPRINT’s drive for innovation and industry contribution.

What advice would you offer to employees, particularly those working in the field?

Keep learning and don’t hesitate to ask questions or share knowledge; teamwork and communication are critical in our industry. Challenges will come, but treat them as opportunities to grow. Stay positive, adapt quickly, and focus on solutions rather than blame. That mindset not only builds your skills but also strengthens the team.

INTERNSHIP FOR YOUNG GENERATION

Aland Omend Field Engineer Intern, Iraq - Sprint

I am Aland Omend, a petroleum-engineering graduate from Koya University with a passion for field operations and innovation. My recent internship at Sprint Oil & Gas Services – Iraq provided a comprehensive immersion across operational, and technical functions.

I began in the operational yard under Mr. Rana, learning workflow and safety fundamentals, and received hands-on pump-maintenance instruction from Mr. Adam Hatam. A week-long deployment to an N₂ Kickoff—supervised by Mr. Umer Tariq and supported by Mr. Shekh Aftab—introduced me to rig-up/ rig-down procedures, coiled-tubing gear, and on-site HSE practices. Working alongside senior staff, I operated stimulation, nitrogen, chemical, and Dalsco pumps through every project phase.

Briefings from Mr. Abdullah in the Technical Office linked fieldwork to documentation, while mentorship from Mr. Saad broadened my skills in coiledtubing design, pipe-strength analysis, and preparation of job packages and post-job reports. A rotation with Mr. Zhekaf in the Lab Department covered cement-slurry testing, strength evaluation, and corrosion studies essential to well integrity.

In the internship’s final stage, I joined Mr. Mustafa in R&D to evaluate a new retarded-acid system for high-temperature reservoirs—experience that underscored Sprint’s commitment to innovation.

This multifaceted program has strengthened my technical competence, safety awareness, and confidence, preparing me for future challenges in the oil and gas industry. I am grateful to the Sprint team for their mentorship and support.

VOICE FROM THE FIELD

I embarked my professional journey in the oilfield in 2017, starting as a Service Technician Trainee based in Sprint Pakistan. Over the years, my dedication and commitment have propelled me to my current role Service Supervisor based in Saudi Arabia. This progression reflects my unwavering passion for the industry and my continuous pursuit of excellence.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse and challenging environments, with upright and professional team which has significantly contributed to my professional and company growth. Some of the critical operations I’ve been involved: Multi-lateral Job (MLT), Milling Operations, Fishing Operations, Emulsified Jobs, EZSV Plug Setting, High-Rate Injectivity

Furthermore, I led the SAWCOD field trial project to establish our company’s new venture into the Saudi rigless market, positioning us for long-term business growth in the region. One of the most rewarding aspects of these projects has been achieving zero Nonproductive Time (NPT). This accomplishment underscores the importance of meticulous planning, effective communication, and supportive teamwork.

The Ainkawa Cricket League 2025 brought together ten vibrant teams, including our very own Sprint Team, in a thrilling display of skill and camaraderie. Sprint was the first to qualify for the semi-finals, showing exceptional teamwork and resilience throughout the tournament.

In a nail-biting semi-final, our team fought till the last ball, narrowly missing a spot in the finals. Though we didn’t take the trophy, our players showed true SPRINT spirit and sportsmanship. Congratulations to the team — we’re proud and excited for a stronger comeback next season!

Midday Break: Sprint Cares This Summer - Sharjah, UAE

From June 15 to September 15, Sprint fully complies with the UAE Midday Break Rule, halting outdoor work between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM as per MoHRE guidelines.

To further protect our field staff, we provide shaded rest areas and juice mixed with rehydration medicine to help prevent dehydration. At Sprint, safety always comes first.

Women in Diplomacy Day - Pakistan
