Ella & Elsa’s Story A

Dog Of The Month?

little over 4 years ago just before Christmas I was diagnosed with Breast cancer the big C…I told four of my friends I had worked with when we had lunch together a couple of days later, Rebecca said to me my Rhodesian Ridgeback Dog had puppies 2 days ago and you need to have one to get you through this something else to focus on? I answered number one I can’t afford one of your puppies and number two we have 2 dogs so Bill would not let me have one! She said well I am giving you one so ask him anyway? Well Bill didn’t disappoint me when he said no as we already had two dogs Sally and Marla and that was enough and I tried to get ready for the biggest fight of my life. And Elsa came into our lives! Actually two Elsa’s came into our lives the first little one didn’t make it although we fought hard to save her with the help of Ann & Julia who spent many hours at our house drip feeding her while Bill had a sleep so he could sit up feeding her during the night while I slept we eventually lost her and although I was so grateful and still am to this day to the people who helped including the continued page 3
