From day one back in March, students in the newspaper class learned about the different parts of a newspaper and how theyʼd write and document their stories.
Spark makes news One of the spring Spark choices at Park Terrace Elementary on Friday afternoons was newspaper class. Nine fourth grade students became student reporters and set out to make a newspaper about Spark. They learned about the news and then they made articles (and newspaper hats!) The reporters conducted interviews with students and instructors in Spark classes, asking what they like about it, why they chose it and what theyʼve learned so far. Classes covered a variety of interests, ranging from dancing to cooking to music to sports.
