If you check into the hotel prior to your fellow runner, please show courtesy and save space within the bedroom furniture such as wardrobes and drawers.

FRIDAY 5th APRIL ARRIVAL DAY

Our reps will be available in the hotel reception from 17:00 until 18:00 today, feel free to come along to say hello and ask any questions relating to Sunday s Marathon. You are then welcome to join us and your fellow runners for a welcome drink, details of which you can find below.

FRIDAY 5th APRIL MEET & GREET DRINKS WITH FELLOW RUNNA RUNNERS

Join us at the hotel bar from 18:00 until 19:00 for a complimentary welcome drink and to meet your reps, the Runna group and fellow runners. We hope to see you there!

SATURDAY 6TH APRIL RUNNA X SPORTS TOURS 5K SHAKEOUT RUN AT 09:30

If you, your friends or family would like to join us for a 5k warm up run, please meet us in the hotel reception at 09:20 when we will take you on a gentle run in the surrounding area.

SATURDAY 6TH APRIL PRE-RACE BRIEFING WITH RUNNA AT 10:30

An informative pre-race briefing will be held in the hotel conference room at 10:30. Come along, meet your fellow runners and be part of our Q&A session. We look forward to you joining us!

SATURDAY 6TH APRIL ESCORT TO THE EXPO & BIB COLLECTION

After the briefing, our reps will escort runners to the marathon expo where you will collect your bib. The Expo Hall is easy to get to by Metro from the hotel (details below) Please meet in the hotel reception at 11:15, we will travel via public transport at your own cost.

Getting to the Expo

• Your registration with QR CODE (sent by email the week before the event)

• Your photo ID

• Your printed medical certificate (as a back-up as it must already be uploaded and validated on your time to account) or your valid FFA license.

In advance, please ensure your Medical Certificate is you uploaded onto your time to account. Click on "My Account", "My Events" then "Upload a document". As valid Medical Certificates are compulsory to participate in the Paris Marathon, we strongly recommend that you bring a copy with you to Paris in case it is required. No medical certificate = no marathon.

Please note you will not be able to collect your bib on race day.

SUNDAY 7th APRIL 2024 PARIS MARATHON

Today is the day! Grab your trainers and take your place on the 2024 Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris starting line.

START AND FINISH

The Paris Marathon Start is at the top of the Avenue des Champs Elysées and the Finish is at the bottom of Avenue Foch, Paris 16th

The official start time is at 07:55 with various waves prior to mass runners staring from 08:05. Further details can be found below and in the official marathon guide which can be found HERE. You are advised to get to your starting area at least 30 minutes before your start time. The full course map can be downloaded HERE.

ESCORT TO THE START AREA

Joe and James will do a guided trip to the start with the start area being 40 minutes from the hotel by Metro If you wish to be escorted, please be in the hotel reception by 07:00. If you wish to make your own way at a different time, feel free to do so.

After the race, please make your own way back to the hotel which is 40-minute Metro ride from the Finish Joe and James will be at the desk from 14:30 to 15:30 to congratulate runners.

All clients are invited to Bateau El Alamein (10 Port de la Gare, 75013 Paris) for complimentary celebratory drinks, pizza, pasta and nibbles from 18:00 to 20:00 medals with you!

PASSPORTS & VISAS

Non-British travellers, please refer to the relevant information pertaining to your nationality from the relevant websites and other sources. All British travellers to France must hold a full 10-year pass- port, valid for at least 3 months after your return. Visas are not required. However, you should check that your for a visa. For further information for British citizens on the country you are travelling to as well as for general information on staying safe and healthy while you are abroad, please refer to www.fco.gov.uk

We recommend that you take your currency in Euro. Most major credit cards are accepted, with VISA and MASTERCARD most widely used

TRAVEL INSURANCE

You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance before travelling. Please check any exclusions and that your policy covers you for all the activities you want to undertake. Please note that you should declare any pre-existing medical conditions. Failure to do so may result in the invalidation of your travel insurance. You must ensure that your own personal possessions, including any sports equipment or bicycles are covered by your travel insurance or by your own home contents insurance - Sports Tours International cannot accept liability for the loss of your personal possessions. HEALTH AND SAFETY

Please ensure that you have adequate travel insurance to cover your trip. Due to Brexit, the EHIC card which were used for overseas to receive a subsidised or even free medical assistance, are no longer valid for trips to Europe. This has now been replaced by the Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC). A GHIC card is free and can be obtained through the gov.uk website. Do not fall for websites asking you to pay for a GHIC card.
