WELCOME BACK TO THE FOX COVID-19 POLICY The health and safety of our patrons, staff and musicians is our top priority. Admission to Spokane Symphony concerts requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test and ID card. Audience members 12 years or older must show, at time of entrance to the theater, either: • Vaccination card (paper or electronic version) demonstrating full immunization. OR • Proof of negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 48 hours prior to admission. (Test must be done by a healthcare provider, pharmacy, etc. Self-administered or over-the-counter tests are not an option.)
Masks, fully covering nose and mouth, must be worn by everyone at all times, unless eating or drinking. Patrons who fail to show vaccination proof or negative COVID-19 test will not be allowed entry.
DIGITAL PROGRAM BOOK Our concert programs can now be viewed on your phone, computer or device using the Spokane Symphony App. To download this FREE App, go to the App Store or GooglePlay and search Spokane Symphony. We will continue to pass out a paper program at each concert. It is yours to keep and will not be shared or reused as in previous years.
MASTERWORKS DIGITAL CONCERTS Not feeling up to a night or afternoon out? Spending winter in a warmer climate? In partnership with Hamilton Studio we are creating a digital version of all seven Masterworks performances. As a subscriber, you will be able to stream every concert for 30 days following the live performance. You will receive one link that will give you access to all the concerts on Vimeo. Each digital concert will be available to view the Thursday following the live performance.
FIRST-TIME SUBSCRIBER PRO TIPS HOW LONG IS A TYPICAL PERFORMANCE? Most Spokane Symphony performances run about two hours, including one 20-minute intermission. The Fox Presents concerts vary from 90 minutes to two hours depending on the performance.
WHEN DO I APPLAUD IN A CLASSICAL PERFORMANCE?
CAN I USE MY PHONE DURING THE CONCERT? You might be surprised to hear that we encourage you to take pictures with your phone, or to participate on social media during concerts. You can also read the digital program book on the Spokane Symphony App. We do ask you to silence your phone before the concert begins. Audio and video recording are not allowed at Spokane Symphony concerts out of respect for the performers and your fellow concertgoers.
Clapping is a great way to show your appreciation for the performers. It’s part of what fuels them when they play! If you aren’t sure when to clap, don’t worry – you can easily join in once the applause has begun.
DO I NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE MUSIC BEFORE I COME?
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Everyday, casual clothes are just fine at our concerts – this is Spokane, after all. On the other hand, going to the Symphony can be a great excuse to dress up for a fun night out, if that’s more your style. You’ll feel comfortable either way.

Music Director James Lowe gives a down-to-earth, deep dive into the Masterworks that he conducts. Complete with visuals, insight from orchestra musicians and a Q&A session, you’ll get to know the composers and understand the historic and modern relevance of the compositions.
Experience a behind-the-scenes look at how Masterworks performances are perfected. Watch the inner workings of the orchestra as James, the musicians and our guest artist shape and polish each work in the final rehearsal. Includes one mimosa, coffee and pastries. Concessions will be open to purchase additional beverages.

CONCERT CONVERSATIONS Arrive an hour before our Masterworks concerts to hear the pre-concert Concert Conversation: A lively discussion about the music on the program by our conductor and guest artist.
91.1 RECORDINGS Spokane Symphony Masterworks are broadcast one week later on Monday at 7:00 pm over KPBX-FM Stereo 91.1. These broadcasts are made possible through the cooperation of KPBX-FM, the players of the Spokane Symphony, and the Professional Musicians of the Inland Northwest, Local 105, AFM.
PLAN YOUR VISIT WHEN DO DOORS OPEN? Masterworks Concerts: Doors open 90 minutes prior to all Spokane Symphony Masterworks concerts to accommodate our pre-concert “Concert Conversation” from the stage that starts one hour before the performance. Doors open 60 minutes before Pops concerts, special events like The Nutcracker Ballet, Movies & Music, and Beethoven’s Ninth on New Year’s Eve.
PARKING · All metered street parking is free on Sundays and after 7pm on Monday through Saturday. · Parking lot options near the theater include: Davenport Hotel garage: One block from the theater at Post and First; Friendly Parking: South of Carr Electric on Monroe; Parking West Garage: Three blocks from the theater at Sprague and Madison; River Park Square Garage at Post and Spokane Falls; SteamPlant: Free validation with purchase of dinner. · If you have members in your party who have difficulty walking from your parking spot, please pull up in front of the Fox at either the Sprague Avenue entrance on the north side, or the 1st Avenue entrance on the south side to drop off your party to assure their safe entry into the theater.
WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE? We understand -- sometimes life gets in the way. Our ushers will show you into the hall at the next suitable break in the program, usually after the first piece or at intermission.

Will Call is located at the First Avenue entrance on the south side of the theater at the corner of First and Monroe.
WHAT IF I CANNOT ATTEND THE PERFORMANCE?
Check with an usher immediately following the performance or call the Box Office during regular business hours at (509) 6241200. We keep a log of all found items and keep them for 30 days. We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
COAT CHECK
Schedules change but so can your season tickets! As a subscriber, you may exchange your tickets at the box office for another subscription concert until 48 hours before the concert date printed on your tickets.
SERVICES FOR PATRONS WITH DISABILITIES
During the colder months, a complimentary coat check is available in the North Gallery next to the Sprague Avenue entrance. We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items left at coat check.
STAY CONNECTED
Requests for accommodations should be made through our Box Office when purchasing tickets. The best entrance to accommodate a wheelchair is the Sprague Avenue entrance. An elevator is available near the south entrance on First Avenue for access to balcony and loge seating. A hearing device is available to aid hearing. Those devices are available at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Service animals are permitted in the building.
FULL SERVICE BAR Cocktails, wine, beer and light snacks are conveniently located in the lobby on both the main level and the balcony level. You may take your drink to your seat in the theater. Food is not permitted in the seats.
