Fly our country’s flag with pride as we have done since 1777 when Congress adopted the Stars and Stripes as our official flag. Through the centuries, we have carried the flag in battle, in celebration, and in remembrance. Displaying the flag, we show tribute to all our ancestors that helped to build this country to the democratic union it is today. People from around the world can look onto the red, white and blue colors in our flag and know their symbolic meaning of our commitment to liberty and justice for all. We cordially invite you to join us at the SPJST Flag Day Ceremony on Monday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home 1424 Martin Luther King, Jr. Lane Temple, Texas. See back page for details.
