Forty - nine SPJST members departed from El Campo at 7 p.m. on a chartered bus to Galveston for a day of sightseeing, July 24th. It was a full day. Our first stop was at Sea Arama where we enjoyed shows and viewed exhibits. We ate our sack lunch in the picnic area.
At 1:30 p.m., we visited the Bishop's Palace which is a mansion built in 1887 and owned by the Diocese of the Catholic Church. At 2:30 p.m., we viewed Galveston from the 21st floor of the American National Insurance Tower. This was indeed a beautiful sight. Continued On Page 10
