A.C.C. Czech Club Awards Scholarship May 5 the Alvin Community College held its annual awards ceremony at which the A.C.C. Czech Club awarded a $400.00 scholarship for the 1982-1983 school year. This year the scholarship went to Julia Sue Ellwanger of Friendswood, Texas. The scholarship was presented to Julia by the A.C.C. Czech Club instructor, Mr. William Souchek. Julia will be a second year student at A.C.C. in September. She has 34 semester hours to her credit and has a better than 3.5 grade point average. Besides maintaining a high scholastic average, she is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, an honorary academic fraternity at A.C.C. Her major is accounting-business.
