Celebrating One Year of the Girl Scout DreamLab
In May 2025, Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska celebrated one year of the Girl Scout DreamLab in Omaha—a space that has quickly become a thriving center of community, creativity, and connection. In just twelve months, the Girl Scout DreamLab welcomed more than 3,740 people through programs, partnership events, and community gatherings.
This year, the Girl Scout DreamLab hosted its second annual Back-to-School Rally, drawing 237 attendees, a 25% increase over 2024. The space also supported gatherings with mission-aligned partners such as the Women’s Fund of Omaha, United Way of the Midlands, Sarpy County Chamber, and other local organizations who used the Girl Scout DreamLab to host meetings, workshops, and community conversations.
Its first year reflects the power of what happens when our organization opens its doors to the community—creating a welcoming, inspiring space where Girl Scouts and non-members alike can learn, lead, and belong.
Why Girls Need Us
At a time when confidence too often fades and pressures grow louder, girls need a place that reminds them they are capable, courageous, and worthy of leadership. The Girl Scout Research Institute confirms, “Girl Scouts are more likely than non–Girl Scouts to have strong leadership outcomes, higher civic engagement, and greater entrepreneurial aspirations.” That difference does not happen by chance. It happens because caring adults, generous donors, and a powerful sisterhood come together to ensure every girl is seen, supported, and given the opportunity to rise.

Who We Serve
Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska serves girls in every corner of the state: rural, suburban. We create opportunities for them to build leadership skills, explore new interests, and grow with confidence. Our programs are designed for girls in grades K–12 and are strengthened by the dedication of adult volunteers, parents/caregivers, and community partners who make Girl Scouting possible. We ensure every girl, regardless of background or experience, has access to life-changing opportunities rooted in STEM, outdoors, life skills, and entrepreneurship.
