Dux and High Achievers 2025
Students who achieved an ATAR greater than 80

Message from the Principal
Congratulations to our exceptional Class of 2025! Your hard work and dedication have led to outstanding achievements that have made our entire St Paul’s community proud.
As the only school in the greater west of Sydney to offer both the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, our senior students enjoy the unique advantage of choosing the pathway that best suits their skills and interests.
Combining our HSC and IB 2025 results, 30% of students achieved an ATAR above 90 and 52% achieved an ATAR above 80, reflecting strong performances across a diverse range of subjects. I especially congratulate the 2025 Dux of St Paul’s, Livia Zhang, who received an ATAR of 99.25.
Whether choosing to study the HSC or the IB Diploma in their senior years, students at St Paul’s benefit from an education designed to prepare them for life beyond school. Our commitment to holistic education is evident in the rich learning experiences we provide, both in and beyond the classroom.
As a Christian Grammar school catering for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12, we nurture the whole child and empower them to grow academically, physically, emotionally, and spiritually within a caring and supportive environment. This empowers students to be discerning and knowledgeable individuals of integrity, who are called to serve in the world with respect and compassion.
This publication celebrates the achievements of many of our students from the Class of 2025 as they transition beyond their St Paul’s experience and step into the next chapter of their lives. It is always inspiring to hear the hopes
and aspirations of our graduating students for the future, and we extend our heartfelt prayers for God’s blessings on them.
Finally, we acknowledge the vital role of parents, staff, and the wider St Paul’s community in shaping the character and aspirations of these young people. At the heart of our school is a strong sense of community, and we hope our alumni will remain connected long after their school years. We look forward to seeing the incredible impact they will make in the years ahead.
In Christo Futurum, Mr Ian Wake Principal
It is always inspiring to hear the hopes and aspirations of our graduating students for the future, and we extend our heartfelt prayers for God’s blessings on them.

Plans for 2026 and Beyond
Pursuing study in either Physiotherapy or Dentistry
Livia’s outstanding achievement is a testament to her commitment and disciplined approach to learning. She attributes her exceptional results to a steady, continuous study routine throughout her two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma, supported by the strong relationships she built at St Paul’s.
Reflecting on her experience, she shared: “As an international student who transferred here two years ago, I initially noticed big differences in language and culture. However, I’ve made many good friends which has made me very happy. I believe that having healthy relationships on campus has really helped me study better.”
Livia completed her earlier schooling in Shanghai before enrolling at St Paul’s for Year 11. Since then, she has made a positive contribution to the life and culture of the school. As joint Captain of International Relations, she has worked alongside fellow captain Anthony Grima to strengthen connections between local and international students by promoting cross-cultural exchange. She was also a member of the Céilà Band, contributing the unique sound of the guzheng.

Julian’s success reflects not only his academic dedication but also his ability to balance a wide range of commitments. Alongside his studies, Julian actively participated in cocurricular opportunities, including the Rural Fire Service (RFS) Cadets programme, where he developed valuable skills and contributed meaningfully to his community.
In 2025, Julian also achieved his Bush Firefighter (BF19) Qualification through the RFS. This certification indicates that the holder is trained in the essential skills required to safely support firefighting operations as part of the NSW RFS. He was further involved as a member of our 2024 RFS State Championships team.
When asked about his best memory of school, Julian reflected, “That’s hard to put down to a single thing. My best moments were definitely the fun I had with my friends on camps. I also love my house and tutor, and I’m sad to be leaving them.” Julian also demonstrated a strong sense of pride in Wilberforce as House Captain, which was especially evident in his reaction and celebration when Wilberforce won the Codrington Cup at the end of 2025.

He combined his passion for competition and community with a consistent, disciplined study routine. Alex credits his achievements to this balanced approach, along with the invaluable support of his teachers and family.
