Jindo Morishita, 30 years old, is the first Japanese player ever to compete in Morocco's professional football league. He made his professional debut in Zambia, went on to play in Ghana, and in 2024 secured a professional contract in Morocco — and that journey continues to this day.
His path — fighting across Africa as a Japanese footballer — is truly one of a kind, driven by his passion for football. Sponsors and supporters back in Japan have found inspiration in his journey, cheering him on every step of the way.
It was this story that made me want to know more: how he lives day to day, how he has grown as a footballer, and what it means to live in Africa as a Japanese athlete.
