LOVELO CINELLI RACE TEAM
ARE GROUP OF ENTHUSIASTIC LOCAL CYCLISTS THAT WANT TO GIVE BACK TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, AND THE WIDER CYCLING COMMUNITY.
At Lovelo Cinelli we consider ourselves a family with our riders getting great support from our relationship with Lovelo Cycleworks; a Berkhamsted based cycling shop. Lovelo Cycle Works, have assisted with every local cycling sporting event, as well as a number of charity events in order to improve the local area, and have succeeded in becoming part of the fabric of the local area. They have helped Ashlyns School construct a youth Pump Track; helped run local sporting events such as the Berkhamsted Cycling Clubs Castle Crit races and the Berkhamsted Triathlon. Alongside this they have donated a number of cycling related prizes to local charities and supported the National Emergency Services TT Championships and hosted the 2016 National Womens Masters Road Race. The Lovelo Cinelli race team is aimed at developing talent from the ground up, rather than selecting already successful riders. The team have successfully supported and taken riders with no racing experience to the top of the Regional Level, with notable results that include one of our Junior Riders coming 3rd in the National 10 mile Time Trial Championships as well as becoming the Junior National Hill Climbing Champion, having not raced prior to the start of the season. Beyond racing and developing talent the team has recognised the need to provide events for riders; identifying a gap in races available for women.

If you want us to look after them during your race; they will be labelled with your race number which you’ll need to still have on your jersey in order to collect your keys. Entry in advance - £20 / Entry on the line - £25 The men’s Lovelo Road Race is open to all 3rd and 4th Cat riders As part of the Central Road Race League a preference is given to; 1) CRRL clubs / teams. 2) ORRL clubs / teams, and subsequently Central Region clubs / teams. 3) then any other club /team. 4) Unattached riders will only be accepted if the race is under subscribed. The women’s Cinelli Road Race is open to all 3rd, 4th and 2nd Cat riders. The Women’s Race is not part of the CRRL and is open to all so please sign up early to avoid disappointment

THE COURSE CONSISTS OF A 7.9 MILE, UNDULATING LOOP, WHICH WILL BE RIDDEN A TOTAL OF 6 TIMES. THE KOM AND QOM WILL APPLY ON EVERY LAP AFTER THE COMPLETION OF LAP ONE. From the HQ ( Cottesloe School ) the lead car will drive slowly to the course via a neutralised section where riders can get organised. During this transition riders must stay behind the lead car at all times. Once ready the lead car will signal the beginning of the race. In the event of an incident, the lead car will signal the race to be neutralised. The key features of the course will be broken down in following pages for safety and rider awareness. Please take some time to read it and if possible please ride the course in you own time before hand to familiarise yourself with the road surface and any potholes. W W W. NEUTRALISED SECTION
Riders will be paced by the lead car through the neutralised section as it first works through Wing and Burcott. Once it leaves the built up area the race will be de neutralised, the exact point will be down to the Commissionaire but will be between this point and the finish line.

Marshalled left turn toward Soulbury. From this there is a slight descent into the village.

Marshalled turn left toward Wing. Riders are to use the left slip road. Riders over shooting and taking the second left turn do so at there own risk. Please be advised, as you enter the village as parked cars often line the road.

THE KOM / QOM PRIZE IS £50 AND WILL WORK AS FOLLOWS: AFTER ONE COMPLETE LAP OF THE COURSE, THE KOM / QOM WILL BE SCORED EVERY SUBESQUENT LAP, FOR THE FIRST THREE RIDERS OVER THE LINE.

3 POINTS FOR 1ST 2 POINTS FOR 2ND 1 POINT FOR 3RD The KOM / QOM prize will be awarded to the rider with the highest score at the end of the race, with a maximum of 15 points available. Please note that these are NOT British Cycling Points. In the event of a points tie, the first rider over the line of the last KOM / QOM from the tied riders wins will be awarded the prize. The judges decision is final. Riders must finish the race to be awarded the prize.
