Founded in 2018, Select Risk Services (SRS) is a boutique wholesale insurance brokerage specializing in complex, hard-to-place commercial risks within the excess & surplus (E&S) marketplace SRS was built on the belief that not every risk belongs in a mass-market model. We are intentionally selective, focusing on accounts that demand technical expertise, disciplined underwriting strategy, and thoughtful carrier negotiation Our consultative approach, deep industry specialization, and trusted carrier relationships allow us to deliver solutions where standard markets fall short. In October 2025, SRS was acquired by Specialty Program Group (SPG), further strengthening our platform with expanded resources, national scale, and long-term strategic support, while preserving the agility, focus, and independence our partners value
Select Risk Services (SRS), a boutique wholesale broker within SPG Wholesale, has secured highly selective Oil & Gas & Renewable Energy appointments, significantly expanding admitted and excess placement capabilities for energy risks These appointments provide SRS with access to: (1) All admitted General Liability, Auto, and Workers’ Compensation, (2) Up to $25M Excess, (3) Inland Marine and Property coverage when needed, (4)ability to offer the pollution and other broad coverage enhancements needed for strict MSA requirements, (5) A small business admitted Oil & Gas package available only to select wholesalers Distribution is intentionally limited nationwide, reinforcing SRS’s position as a go-to wholesale partner for complex energy accounts
Extremely limited access - Only wholesaler to have all three of these markets
Admitted solutions for medium to large accounts: Ideal for six- and seven-figure energy risks
Proven carrier strength: All three of these new markets are widely recognized as some of the top Oil & Gas package carriers (GL, Auto WC & up to 25M XS) and one of the markets can do the Inland & Property too
These markets perform especially well for: Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Energy Operations, Oil & Gas Contractors and Operators, Renewable Energy, and Energy Manufacturers and Distributors including: (1) Small to mid-sized accounts (≤15 autos), (2) Larger, complex risks with GL / Pollution, Auto, WC, requiring admitted paper with high-limit excess support
Founded in 2018 and acquired by Specialty Program Group in October 2025, Select Risk Services brings a disciplined, consultative approach to complex E&S and admitted placements, combining deep energy-sector expertise, thoughtful underwriting strategy, trusted carrier relationships, and the scale and support of SPG Wholesale SRS was built on the belief that not every risk belongs in a mass-market model, a philosophy that aligns directly with our carriers' underwriting discipline
Consider this opportunity when your client: (1) Needs admitted Oil & Gas solutions with GL, Auto, WC and excess capacity, (2) Has been restricted by coverage limitations, (3) Requires a wholesale partner with direct carrier access, (4) Is seeking a long-term, consistent, all lines energy markets

We were tasked with marketing a large medical spa risk with more than 20 locations across 7 states that had not been out to market in a few years Immediately upon receipt of the submission, we informed our retail partner at HUB New England that we believed we could save the client a large amount of premium The account was operating at 5 3% loss ratio over the past 5 years and we had recently placed a similar sized med spa risk that was paying far less in premium than this insured Ultimately we ended up saving the client $114K in premium year-over-year (30%) and we also increased their Sexual Abuse & Molestation sublimit, added Employee Benefits Liability coverage, increased several supplementary coverage limits (i e HIPAA, License Defense, etc ), and improved several terms and conditions of the policy versus the insured's expiring policy This was a great win as HUB controls several different divisions of the insured's operations and all lines of coverage $20M tower for D&O/E&O/Fund Coverage/EPL/FID and separate placement for Crime for a Registered Investment Adviser
HUB CA approached Specialty Program Group to market the management and professional liability program of a $6B Registered Investment Adviser, which had historically been handled by an external wholesaler SPG ExecuPro’s Estela Aleksi marketed the program extensively, presented competing options and was able to provide a doubledigit premium decrease from the expiring, while also including multiple meaningful coverage enhancements The client ultimately opted to move the program to SPG’s recommended primary carrier/quote along with excess capacity for a total of $20M limits It was a win-win-win: the client received a stronger program compared to the expiring, the HUB producer formed a new bond with a powerful in-house resource, and HUB and SPG both benefited by the increased commission lift associated with bring the account fully in-house
