It gives me great pleasure to present our Autumn/Winter 2026 programme, a collection of departures that we believe
captures everything Andante does best: the breadth, the depth, and the sheer exhilaration of exploring the human past in
remarkable company.
The range of this season’s tours is, we think, exceptional. At one end of the compass, you will find us tracing the ancient
landscapes of the British Isles, from the prehistoric monuments of Orkney and the ceremonial heartland of Salisbury Plain
to the Romano-British towns and Iron Age hill forts that punctuate our own countryside. At the other, we venture to the far
reaches of the ancient world into the storied interior of China, where millennia of dynastic history are written in stone and silk.
Between these poles sit itineraries that take in the Levant, the Nile Valley, North Africa, the Iberian Peninsula and beyond — a
true survey of the ancient world’s extraordinary reach.
