Director Welcome... As summer comes to an end, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has been part of another wonderful summer at Speak Out in Hounslow. We have enjoyed lots of activities, events and time together with our members, staff, volunteers, families and friends. We hope everyone has had a lovely summer! We would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebration of the life of our much-loved friend and colleague, Nick Benjamin. It meant a great deal to see so many of Nick’s friends, family, colleagues and members of our community come together to remember him and celebrate the difference he made to so many lives. We would also like to thank Our Young Volunteers Project, supported by Inspire Hounslow, for working with us recently. The project gives young people who are not currently in education, employment or training the chance to volunteer at our sessions. They can take part in useful training, gain qualifications and build experience to help them find employment in the future. We are pleased to be part of a project that gives young people opportunities while bringing new volunteers into our Speak Out community. We are already looking forward to our next Brentford Flea Market! Following the success of our last event, we will be returning to the London Museum of Water & Steam on Sunday 18th October.
