DESIGN CONCEPT
Inspired by the natural environment, topography and ancient ruins, SIX SENSES HUMANTAY will feature materials such as natural stone, concrete, and structural elements from Incan beliefs and culture.
Feature staircases and columns will play a major role in the layout of the design while highlighting artistry and biophilic elements.
PROJECT GOALS
To create an upscale hotel and spa that embodies the cultural aspects and traditions of our location.
Implementing universal design to create an inclusive and functional environment.
Considering sustainable solutions that are in harmony with the local environment

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Luminaire conceptual design, design development, and prototype fabrication to help improve electric lighting strategies for a cafe space.

DESIGN CONCEPT
inspired by the pomegranate fruit, the pom burst pendant light is a luminaire appropriate for both residential and commercial use that distributes ambiant, efficient lighting and contributes to acoustical performance.
PROJECT GOALS
To improve inadequate lighting throughout the space- considering anti-glare, proper task lighting for activities such as reading, writing, computer work, staff POS handling
To improve overall acoustics due to high reverberation
To create a more personalized luminaire that relates to the brand’s aesthetic
PROJECT APPROACHES
Implementing daylighting strategies through consideration of windows, skylights etc, ensuring there is available installation space for luminaires
Resurfacing with materials that have better sound absorption
Considering lighting and acoustics needs when developing this luminaire, choosing tones and materials that compliment the brand’s aesthetic and existing palette
