Geometric patterns, symmetry, curvilinear lines, texture, rhythm and space are at the forefront of our design to honor the local tradition and culture. Through natural materials, emphasis will be placed on the natural elements and artisanal textiles from the local peruvian community.

For Humantay culture lies in every detail, both subtle and grand. When planning the schematic design, intentional choices such as using geometic designs from woven textiles proved useful in determining the flow and function of the space. Cultural meanin

The vertical plane of the retail boutique is conceived as a curated display surface for textiles, enhanced by integrated dimmable LED backlighting. A harmonious interplay of color, light, and materiality establishes visual balance and depth, transforming the installation into a dynamic focal element within the space.

The pendant translates the pomegranate and rose into a refined interplay of form, texture, and light. Faceted inner layers reference the jewel-like geometry of pomegranate seeds, while soft, overlapping outer petals echo the organic rhythm of a rose in bloom. Together, these elements create a sculptural composition that balances structure and softness, radiance and delicacy, resulting in a luminous object defined by harmony, depth, and feminine elegance.

Windandsea, CA

Windandsea California embodies a laid-back yet refined coastal sensibility, where surf culture meets considered design. Rooted in the rhythms of the Pacific, this salty town balances ease and intentionsun-faded palettes, texture, and understated graphics that feel both nostalgic and contemporary. Its identity is defined by effortlessness and authenticity, translating the freedom of the California coastline into a modern lifestyle language that is relaxed, expressive, and quietly confident.
For my young professional client, it was important to have a tranquil home that supports his lifestyle- a home he could work from, host traveling friends and relax after catching waves. When I met Ian, his possessions were minimal, as the recent Bay Area transplant relocated with only the necessities and he expressed his desire to keep his home focused and functional yet have warmth, style and flow. Additionally, as Ian is leasing this property, all design choices must be easily reversed to ensure an easy move-out. As his desginer, I was excited to help turn his simple rental into a space that he could look forward to come home to, and while it was his- no matter how long or short- would feel like it was his. For this two bedroom bungalow, my areas of focus were the primary living space and the office which would double as a guest room. Once I understood Ianās lifestyle, interests and habits I focused on space planning to turn an open space into what felt like specific zones to empasize organization, function and flow.

Natural light is abundant becuase of the thoutful design from the existing architecture which features skylights, large sliding glass doors and clerestory windows so when thinking of electric lighting, the goal was to bring in fixtures that would highlight the elements that are important for Ian which I recognized to be his surf prints. Sleek, brass art lights were selected to give his space a sense of sophistication while providing ambiant light and maintaining ample floor space. Underneath his favorite piece of surf photogaphy art rests a console table serving as a bar to display his favorite drinks. creating a welcoming view from the bedroom hallway, In the main living area, space planning was executed with space saving techniques and flow at the forefront. The space was designed for movement, using furniture and floor coverings to section off the space without feeling cluttered or crammed. The sofa, lounge chair, and coffee table are centrally located to anchor the entertainment are.Positioning the sofa to face the South glass doors provides a greater sense of safety so the choice to have an art frame television on the south wall naturally followed.

Handmade, vintage and second-hand furniture pieces complimented Ianās style choices, as he appreciates when a space feels unique and lived-in, while an RH Bella 7 sofa balances the space with refinement. Plants and greenery add color and life to the natural tones and his collection of books and surf boards were used as the main decorative elements.

A two-seater dining table can completely change the way a small space feels. It keeps the room open and breathable, but still creates a dedicated place to sit, connect, and slow down. Thereās something inherently special about itāit feels intentional and personal, like the space was designed for real moments rather than just function. When the table has a sculptural form or warm materials, it becomes a quiet design statement, adding character and warmth without overwhelming the room.

Sstep inside this desert living concept. Designed as a quiet, grounding abodeāone that feels deeply connected to the desert landscape while still reading as clean and modern.
My intention was to lead with organic materials and soft geometry. The dining table anchors the dining room with sculptural, curved legs that feel substantial but not heavy; Paired with a mix of seating to keep the space from feeling too formal or rigid. The upholstered chairs bring lightness and comfort, while the solid wood armchairs at the ends add warmth and a sense of craftsmanship. Its color paletteālayering sand, clay, and warm neutral tones to echo the surrounding environment. The textures do most of the work here: natural wood grain, woven upholstery, and the subtle pattern of the area rug create depth without visual clutter. The rug also helps define the dining zone while reinforcing the roomās strong architectural lines.

The recessed feature wall was designed to feel architectural rather than decorative. Its modular, textured surface adds rhythm and shadow, and thr styling kept minimal so the material could speak for itself. A few sculptural objects and organic greenery bring in life without interrupting the calm.
The arched openings were essential to the overall feel as they soften the space and create a sense of flow, while reinforcing the homeās desert-inspired architecture. Overhead, the pendant lights provide a warm, diffused glow, drawing the eye upward and balancing the roomās horizontal elements.
Overall, this space is meant to feel effortless and lived-in; minimal, but never cold. Itās a dining room designed for slow mornings, long dinners, and a strong connection to the landscape beyond.

This bathroom continues to evoke tranquility and serenity. An open layout places the sculptural freestanding tub directly in front of expansive desert views, turning bathing into a grounding, immersive experience. Warm wood slats and soft stone surfaces create texture and balance, while maintaining a calm, natural palette.
The floating vanity and circular, backlit mirrors introduce a light, architectural quality, echoing the homeās arched forms. Layered lighting, including a sculptural pendant above the tub, enhances the spalike atmosphere.
Overall, the space embodies quiet luxury- minimal, warm, and intentionally connected to its environment.
