WELCOME Located in the heart of Salt Lake County, Mountain America Exposition Center is home to hundreds of local shows each year. Managed by Legends Global and partnered with Visit Salt Lake, Mountain America Expo hosts everything from dance competitions and community expos to trade shows and conferences. With 243,000 sq. ft. of continuous exhibit hall space and 13,720 sq. ft. of meeting room space, Mountain America Expo offers a versatile venue to fit any need. Whether you’re a first-time organizer or an experienced event planner, we’re committed to creating an unforgettable experience for both you and your attendees. When you book here, you’re getting more than a venue, you’re getting a dedicated team of event professionals to guide you through the event process. EXHIBIT HALLS & MEETING ROOMS Exhibit Halls
Exhibit halls consist of concrete floors and 30’ open ceilings. Overhead rigging is permitted in the exhibit halls following a certified inspection review of the rigging plans by the in-house, preferred audio/visual company.

Meeting Rooms
All meeting rooms feature carpeted floors and 18’ ceilings. These rooms are not designed for overhead rigging; however, ground support rigging is permitted, provided it has been reviewed and certified by the in-house preferred audio/visual company. Sign holders are available next to the meeting room doors for use. Please note that taping, pinning, or mounting items on walls in any form is strictly prohibited.

SERVICES & FEATURES Internet Services
Mountain America Expo Center offers high-speed, reliable Internet services. These services include wired Internet access, point-to-point networking, wireless buyouts, hotspots, and custom network design. We also offer telephone and voice conferencing services.
Engineering Services
Mountain America Expo Center offers engineering services in the exhibit halls. These services include compressed air, water connections, drain lines, water fills, and natural gas services. Services can be ordered through the Event Technology department or online in the Exhibitor Service Center.
Marquee Advertising
There are three full-color LED screens positioned at the south and north ends of the parking lot adjacent to State Street. Each screen measures 11’ 10” high by 9’ 2” wide (270x330). Slides featuring “This Week’s Events” are complimentary for all exhibit hall events. Clients also have the option to submit customized media for an additional charge. Media details: Supports all video codec variations, including uncompressed video files. Standard image formats, including JPG, BMP, PNG, AVI, and MPG are accepted. PDF formats are not accepted.

GENERAL INFORMATION Parking
Approximately 1,800 on-site complimentary outdoor parking spaces.
Trax
Mountain America Expo Center is located a short walk from the “Sandy Expo” TRAX light rail station.
Mobility Rentals
For guests needing mobility assistance, wheelchairs are available for daily or multi-day rentals. Wheelchairs are checked out on a first-come, first-served basis. Rentals can be picked up and returned at the Guest Services office.
Mother’s Pod
A Mother’s Pod, a private and secure enclosed space designed for those who need privacy while pumping or breastfeeding, is located in the concourse on the south end of the building.
Loading Docks
Loading dock(s) available for exhibit hall(s) move-in/move-out
Food and Beverage
Concession stands are located inside each exhibit hall. Two concession stands are located in front of halls 1 and 3. The Storm Mountain Provisions autonomous store is located outside of hall 1. This store uses AI technology that allows event attendees to select items and leave without waiting in a line to pay. A coffee shop is located outside of hall 3.
Wi-Fi
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the lobby areas.
Water Bottle Refill Station
Water Bottle Refill Stations are located throughout the entire building. Using the filling stations eliminates the need to purchase bottled water, helping with the facility’s sustainability efforts.

Social Media Our Communications Team manages several social media platforms highlighting events hosted in the building. Upon request and approval, we can create or share custom posts that align with your event’s goals and messaging. Whether you’re looking to increase engagement, boost ticket sales, or share important event details, our team is happy to collaborate with you to enhance visibility and reach. To capture the atmosphere of your event, our team may photograph the setting and activities throughout the building using professional equipment. These images are often featured on our social media channels, website, or in external and internal publications. Event organizers who prefer not to have their event or attendees photographed or featured may opt out of having their event photographed or featured. For more information, you can ask a sales or event manager for a Photography and Videography Release Form.

When you host your event at Mountain America Expo Center, you’re not just renting space—you’re partnering with a team of dedicated event professionals who are committed to your success. Throughout the planning process, you’ll collaborate with a variety of teams, each bringing specialized expertise to ensure your event runs seamlessly, no matter the size. Here’s who you’ll be working with along the way. Sales Your journey begins with our Sales Team. They’ll be the first friendly faces you’ll meet. The sales team will help you select the ideal dates and spaces for your event, guide you through the contracting process, and make sure all essential documents are in place so your planning can begin smoothly. Event Management Once your event is contracted, your Event Manager (EM) becomes your primary point of contact. As your go-to person, your EM will act as the liaison between you and all internal departments, connecting you with the right departments and ensuring every detail aligns with your vision. If something needs to get done, your EM knows who to call and how to make it happen. Communications The Communications Team keeps everyone informed and connected. They share important operational updates, such as parking details, road closures, and security notices, with staff and in-house partners. The Communications Team also manages Mountain America Expo’s social media platforms, offering collaboration and marketing opportunities for event planners. Additionally, they partner with Sustainability to produce post-event sustainability reports for clients who opt in for that service. Finance After your event wraps up, our Finance Team reviews all departmental work orders to create your post-event settlement invoice. They make sure everything is accurate, transparent, and aligned with Mountain America Expo’s policies and procedures. 10
Sustainability At Mountain America Expo, sustainability stays at the front of mind. Our Sustainability Team works closely with event organizers to reduce environmental impact through initiatives like landfill diversion, energy efficiency, and water conservation. They’ll collaborate with you before and after your event to identify opportunities for sustainable practices and track measurable results. Behind the scenes, our Engineering Team keeps the lights on. They manage the essential systems that power your event, including lighting, climate control, and utilities like water, compressed air, and natural gas in the exhibit halls so your event can run without interruption. Guest Services Guest Services is all about making your attendees feel welcome and supported. This team helps guests with directions, lost and found, accessibility needs, and general questions. They also coordinate security details and oversee building access before, during, and after your event. Operations From set-up to housekeeping, our Operations Team keeps the building running seamlessly so you can focus on your event. They manage behind-the-scenes logistics, handle quick room flips, and ensure every space is clean, comfortable, and ready for guests. Whether it’s a quick turnaround or a last-minute change, they make it happen. Event Technology (IT) Our Event Technology Team ensures you and your guests stay connected. They provide reliable internet and networking solutions, with on-site support for troubleshooting or emergency assistance. We also offer enhanced guest service options, EMT providers, and an on-site caterer and audio/visual company. Temporary electrical services are exclusively provided by our facility-approved electrical contractors to ensure safety and reliability. These services include all power connections and disconnections—from floor boxes and wall outlets to power panels and other sources. Below is a complete list of approved providers, making it easy to plan and power your event with confidence.

SUSTAINABILITY Mountain America Expo Center is dedicated to minimizing its environmental impact through sustainable practices such as landfill diversion, water conservation, and energy conservation. We work with event clients and in-house partners to reduce, reuse, and recycle, helping lower carbon footprints. Our sustainability team collaborates with decorators to ensure that items eligible for donation are not discarded. If you are interested in ways you can make your event more sustainable, please work with your event manager or contact our Sustainable Events Coordinator.

Did You Know Mountain America Expo Center is proudly featuring one of the striking murals from the newly launched “West of Conventional Mural Tour” initiated by Visit Salt Lake, in partnership with Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson. This mural tour is an exciting initiative that celebrates the vibrant and diverse cultural landscape of Salt Lake.
This mural tour represents the first of many local activations, showcasing ten murals by some of Salt Lake’s most renowned local artists selected by the Utah Arts Alliance. The Utah Arts Alliance played a crucial role in selecting these incredible artists and managing this project, focusing on diverse voices and high-quality works. The artists include Traci O’Very Covey, Shae Peterson, Josh Scheuerman, Jimmi Toro, Chris Peterson, Miriam Gutierrez, Matt Monsoon, Jorge Arellano, Bill Louis, and Gerry Swanson. The tour is free and accessible via a mobile link. Participants can win prizes, including a branded t-shirt, by visiting at least 6 of the 10 murals and checking in with the Mural Tour Pass. This initiative, the largest county-wide mural project to date, aims to change outdated perceptions and celebrate Salt Lake’s modern, progressive, and vibrant community. The goal is to build a stronger, more resilient visitor economy through local art.
