Membership and Billing

MONTHLY AUTO-DRAFT:

As long as you have signed into your account on the new website, you are able to set up Auto-Draft payments. I can assist you with this - just let me know when you have time and I can get this set up for you.

PAYMENT DUE DATE:

All member account payments are due by the 20 . If you have not paid for the month prior, you risk having your membership account suspended on the 10 of the month. Please reach out to me so I can help you get this squared away and keep your account current.

NEW MEMBER REFERRAL INCENTIVE:

We are still offering the NEW member referral incentive. Who wouldn't want to save on monthly dues? Every member that you refer, you reap the reward. Send them my way, and I’ll take care of the rest. Another good way to encourage new member sign-ups is to bring them in as guests. Let them play the course and bring them up for a meal.

RESERVATIONS aren’t required for regular dining, but we truly appreciate it when members make them in advance so our team can be fully prepared to welcome you.

All Club Events listed on the calendar, including any event featuring a buffet, do require reservations. A confirmed headcount helps us plan the right amount of buffet food and ensures a table is ready for you upon arrival.

We are looking to find interest in the PGA Junior League at SPCC. We are looking to host an In-House team this year to have your Juniors learn the competitive side of golf! The team will be open to any Junior 13 and under. If we reach a good level of participation, we are looking at holding practice once-a-week, and matches (once-a-week) starting in April. Your junior golfer will play in a competitive match against two other juniors from SPCC each week. The PGA Junior League format has proven to build your juniors’ teamwork, competitiveness, skill, and enjoyment of the game of golf. If you are interested in having your Junior participate in our junior league this year, please contact the Golf Professional staff for further details.

Stop in the Golf Shop to check out our new Catalog Corner! With catalogs from some of your favorite golf vendors for special pre-ordering, stop in and check out if something catches your eye!

With the season approaching, now is the time to freshen up your clubs! All club regrips will be 10% off (Prices vary per grip selections). Come and browse our grip selection to get your clubs done today! Also, see the Professional staff to have your Irons and putters lies and lofts adjusted. It might seem small, but these adjustments can make a big difference in your game!

Getting into the colder months, we will start to see some frost on the course. Please expect delays in starting times and course access, as frost will heighten the risk of damaging the turf if it isn’t defrosted by the time you get out on the course.

USGA Score Posting resumes on March 15th, 2026. No need to post winter score unless you play in a section that allows you to post your score year-round, Florida is an example. As we continue to play on the course, please help the course by filling in your divots and some others that you may find, and fixing pitch marks on the greens! The ground crew will be very happy to see us help them out by taking care of the course over the winter!

Agronomy

January has been a productive cleanup month around the course. We were able to clear the shoreline on hole 2, opening sight lines to the water as well as on hole 17. Numerous dead trees and vines were removed that had been limiting the views of the water and visibility through adjacent holes.

Between holes 6 and 7, we removed 11 dead trees with more to come down. This will improve turf growth on fairway 6 and help reduce cleanup after heavy summer storms, which often result in downed trees. Unfortunately, the tree located on the corner of 6 near the green had to be removed due to safety concerns, as it was cracked at the base and rotten internally. As you can see from the picture, we will be able to take the rest of the old cart path out and re-grass the area to make it playable.

As we move into February, we will continue tree cleanup efforts while also addressing the drainage issue on the hole 2 approach. While we have a skid loader rented for the drainage work, we also plan to remove the left-side bunker 40 yards from the green and sod the area, weather permitting. Completing drainage work in this location is challenging due to tidal influence and the area becoming heavily saturated after rain or snow.

We have had a good winter season so far and looking forward to the longer days around the corner!
