Manymembershavetoldmethecoursehasnotbeeninthisgoodofshapeforalongtime.Brianandhis teamhavedonegreatworkthisyear.Beforethegrowingseasonends,theywillbefocusingongetting thecoursereadyto“wakeup”nextspringwithhealthierturfthatisbetterabletowithstandthe extremeheatofthesummer.
TheleadershipteamattheClubwillshiftitsfocustothe2026calendarof memberevents inthe comingweeks.Workingwiththenewlyformed GolfCommittee,andwithyourinput,ourgoalisto createfunandmemorableeventsthatwillbethefirstthingmembersputontheirsocialcalendars. Letusknowifthereissomethingyouwouldlikeadded.
Therehavebeenalotofchangesoverthepastcoupleofyears,allwithyouinmind.Theworkthathas beendoneonthecourse,theClubhouseupdates,newwebsiteplatformandpointofsale,and leadershipteamchanges,aswellasthemanyplannedimprovementsthatwillbegininthenearfuture, makethisanexcitingtimeinthegrowthandevolutionoftheClubandagreattimetobeamember. Theautumnfoliagebringsaconstantchallengetocourseconditionsandplayability.Our teamisworkingdailytostayaheadoftheleavesandprioritizinggreens,tees,andfairways toaidinthebestwecantonotturneveryshotintoanEasteregghunt.Wewillcontinue wi ththeblowing,mulching,andremovalofleavesdaily.
Mowingfrequencyhasstartedtogodownwhichwillhelpuskeepupwiththeleaf cleanup.Alongwiththenumberofmowsgoingdownthroughtheweek,thewarmseason grasseswillstarttogodormantagaingoingintothewinter.Thiswillmakesomegrass turnbrown,thisistheBermudaweseeinthespringthatweareusuallywaitingtogreen up.WeoverseededteessothatwhiletheBermudacomesoutofdormancywewillhave ryegrass growinginsteadandhavesomethingtoplayoffof.
