Page 1

Introduction

This report outlines the valuable work that we do to support our customers, colleagues and the communities we proudly serve.

As part of the Regulator of Social Housing’s Value for Money Standard, we measure the social value generated using the HACT (Housing Associations Charitable Trust) UK Social Value Bank, a tool that quantifies the positive impact of the services we deliver.

Working toward our vision of creating a better future, we generated over £25.4M in social value during 2024/25. This was achieved through a collaborative approach alongside our Group and strategic partners, and other local organisations.”

Community Development Projects:

The Community Development Fund provides support for projects that will directly benefit our communities, focusing on five key themes: vulnerable persons, health, veterans, safety and environmental initiatives. These include:

• A holiday camp for 16 Ukranian children aged 6-12, where they could enjoy sports, cultural activities and Halloween celebrations, generating £76.1K in social value.

• A family fun day at Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre in Sefton, Merseyside. This free event generated over £1.14M in social value.

• A six-week mental health awareness programme generating £37K in social value.

The Sovini Group and its partners provided crucial support during the festive season to over 8,000 people through a range of community-focused initiatives.

From the delivery of Christmas support packages containing a mixture of food, care and household items, to the sponsorship of 15 events that support vulnerable customers.

04 Economic Impact

We’re passionate about developing the local economy, and support this by investing in local talent, businesses and career initiatives. We believe in creating meaningful employment, in an equal and inclusive workplace.

This year, we welcomed 207 new employees to The Sovini Group, including 48 to One Vision Housing, bringing our total workforce to over 800 colleagues dedicated to working collaboratively toward a shared purpose.

Our award-winning apprenticeship programme continued to thrive, proudly supporting a total of 39 traditional apprentices across the Group, including welcoming 2 new apprentices to One Vision Housing, in a diverse range of roles, from housing management and business administration to electrical installation and joinery.

Additionally, we procure services from like-minded organisations who commit to environmental and social wellbeing. Where possible, we source local services and products and work with SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) to improve the local economy, with almost two-thirds of our external spend within the North West in 2024/25.

05 Environmental Impact

As part of The Sovini Group, we are working towards achieving net-zero carbon emissions. This pledge guides our operations and how we manage our homes. Since 2021/22, we have reduced our carbon footprint by 71.49%. We are also working towards achieving the United Nation’s 2030 Global Goals for Sustainable Development, including:

• No Poverty: We provide customers with access to comprehensive financial support

• Good Health and Wellbeing: We prioritise the physical, mental, social and financial health of our customers, and have developed a range of initiatives designed to improve their wellbeing

• Sustainable Cities and Communities: We create thriving, sustainable and inclusive neighbourhoods where our customers are proud to live

• Partnerships for the Goals: Our strategic partnerships with local authorities and organisations, such as Sefton Council, Merseyside Police and Homes England, support us in delivering sustainable communities

• Energy Efficiency: A commitment to achieving an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) band C or above, for all homes by 2030

• Days of Action: During 2024/25 we also completed 15 Days of Action which tackles fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour, whilst also promoting fire safety.

Our Social Value Statement

We believe that every pound spent should positively impact our communities, following the Public Services Social Value Act 2013 framework.

We comply with the UK Government’s ‘Social Model’ policy themes.
