Greetings from The Abaco Club! If you are not familiar with our little piece of paradise, there is simply nothing in the world quite like it. This is a beautiful, private retreat where the cares of the outside world melt away, there is no air of pretense, and there are no expectations beyond being yourself. Each day is effortless and open—where only you decide what the day will bring. You can play on the #1 golf course in The Bahamas, stroll along what is arguably the most beautiful beach in the world, explore nearby waters and hidden islands, dine on amazing locally sourced cuisine, engage in a whole host of sports activities, and more.
The following pages will give you a brief introduction to the club—where we are, how to get here, what to expect, and the amenities we offer. But there is so much more, and the only real way to get to know The Abaco Club is to experience it for yourself. The Abaco Club
When is the best time of year to visit Abaco? Winter. Spring. Summer. Fall. You name it. Here in the most northerly part of The Bahamas, a temperate climate prevails, with average daily temperatures between 70° and 85° F throughout the year. The Abacos are located 186 miles east of Palm Beach, Florida, and just to the northwest of Eleuthera. Marsh Harbour International Airport accommodates both commercial and private aircraft with FBO facilities. Take a short flight from several East Coast airports and a 25-minute private car ride to the club, and you can be on the beach enjoying an Abaco Smile (our signature island cocktail) in no time.
The Sea of Abaco
Located within the Abacos, the club sits at the Southern end of the Sea of Abaco, a yachtman’s paradise of 130 square miles of aquamarine waters waiting to be discovered and explored. The Sea of Abaco is protected by the third largest barrier reef in the world, and offers idyllic sailing and boating waters, with quaint out-island villages, bohemian beach bars, coral reefs, swimming pigs, uninhabited beaches and lobster-diving shallows providing an endless array of options for the perfect day on the water.
Two Miles of Uninterrupted Bliss
There are approximately 372,000 miles of coastline on the planet, but possibly the most beautiful two miles are here at the heart of our club. Our sheltered location is a tropical splendor of land, sea and sky that is the setting for countless ways to play, relax, and unwind. You can start your day with a morning stroll (or jog) on the powdery soft sand to “touch the rock.” If you’re feeling adventurous, kitesurf or e-foil across the crystal-clear waters of Winding Bay. Or, just sit back and relax with a book and an island cocktail—the day is yours to do as much, or little as you like.

Links golf gurus Donald Steel and Tom Mackenzie have masterfully woven 18 holes across dunes, rock bluffs, and limestone ridges, creating a layout that is as challenging as it is gorgeous. The tropical links course merges Scottish challenges—pot bunkers, seaside winds, undulating fairways and sloping greens—with idyllic weather year-round. It’s a course that pros play, including Abaco Club resident and Club Ambassador Darren Clarke.

Soak up the Flavors and Feelings of the Island
The flavors and dining experiences you will find at the club are as diverse as our amenities—and absolutely experiential. Everywhere you turn, there is inventive and fresh cuisine capturing the essence of island-inspired flavors. Sip on a “Winding Bay Windup,” the perfect pairing to fresh-caught ceviche or a cracked conch burger at Flippers Beach Bar. Stroll up to The Cliff House for Sushi Night or a host of chef’s specialties (Catch of the Day with tropical rum salsa is a favorite). Just outside The Cliff House is Tip-Top, an open-air bar and casual dining terrace featuring stunning sunset views over Sugar Cay and Winding Bay. Located near the 5th green, Tingum on 5 offers some of the best shrimp tacos and views on the planet (and a pretty tasty frosé to boot). Finally, you can gather around the table with friends and family at The Beach House, adjacent to Flippers, which serves up a Mediterranean-inspired menu along with brick oven Neapolitan-style thin-crust pizzas and creative coastal cocktails.
Exploring the Waters Beyond
The Abacos are a fisherman’s and boater's mecca. Anglers from around the world make pilgrimages to the renowned Abaco saltwater flats in pursuit of the holy trinity of flats fly fishing—the elusive bonefish, permit and tarpon. And just a 5-minute boat ride offshore lies the continental shelf where you can land prized marlin, tuna, and dolphinfish, just to name a few. For boating and sailing enthusiasts, The Abaco Yacht Club and marina is the gateway for seafaring adventures—take a pleasure cruise and grab lunch at Firefly Resort, island hop to Tahiti Beach and grab a drink at the Thirsty Cuda floating beach bar, swim with the pigs on Noname Cay or arrange for a private picnic and snorkeling adventure on one of hundreds of beautiful cays waiting to be discovered.
