THEY’RE OFF AND RUNNING These youngsters didn’t let the rain stop them from getting their run in on Sunday, May 4 as they were among 700 participants in the annual Run and Roll for Erie Shores Health Foundation. The Roadrunner Race 400-metre kids’ dash is always exciting to watch for anyone nearby on the streets surrounding the Leamington Medical Village and Erie Shores Hospice. Expect delays and detours

Sherk and surrounding streets set for improvements Contractors working on behalf of the Municipality of Leamington will be undertaking a sewer separation and road reconstruction project on multiple streets as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements. Construction was scheduled to begin May 5 and is expected to be completed by the end of July 2025, weather permitting.

Affected streets are Sherk Street (Oak Street to Seacliff Drive), Margaret Street, Audrey Street, Jane Street and Claire Street. The project includes: installation of new sanitary and storm sewers; new watermain and service installations; removal/abandonment of the existing combined sewer; and road reconstruction, including new

sidewalks and street lighting. Detour routes will be in place, and access through the construction zone will be maintained for local traffic where possible. Motorists should expect periodic road closures and delays.
