Artisans showcase wares at Arts@Marina

FREE

By Paul Forman A few raindrops didn’t stop residents from descending upon Rick Atkin Park to enjoy the offerings from over 70 visual artists, craftsmen, musicians and culinarians at Leamington’s two-day Arts @ the Marina. Arts @ the Marina serves as a fundraiser for the Leamington Arts Centre. Improvements to the park adjacent to the marina allowed the event to expand its footprint to the west for its 31st year. LAC Director Chad Riley was pleased with the mix of vendors for festival goers and reminded art enthusiasts that the art centre continues to look for funding to secure what they regard as the perfect location and layout for a new art centre at Erie Street North and Nelson Street.
