What’s your favorite part of the holidays? Third graders in Tammy Mueller’s class at Eagle Elementary School were asked. Here are some of their responses: “Christmas is special to me because I get to spend time with my family. Every year I go to my grandma’s house and I love spending time with her and my family.” ~ Addison Adsit “A special tradition my family has for Christmas is we decorate the Christmas tree with ornaments. Every year we get to put an angel on the Christmas tree and it is my turn to put the angel on the tree. We do in baby order when we were born. Then it is my sister’s, Isabella’s, turn to put it up, then it is my sister Elowyn’s turn to put it up. ~ Charlotte Connell “Christmas is special because I put up a Christmas tree and I put up ornaments. It’s so fun. Our family tradition is we make a cake and put a coin in the cake. If I find the coin, I will have good luck.” ~ Xristos Saffarini “(Las posadas) Christmas is special to me because my papa get’s my family a cake with a hole in it and when we cut it open whoever finds the baby Jesus wins. On Christmas night I go caroling to people who can’t go out like the elders and they would always laugh. We would always give them cookies after we sang. ~ Kiera Duran
