Village of Waterford Job Opening
Equipment & Water Operator for the Department of Public Works The Village of Waterford is seeking a part-time individual to join our public works staff at 30 hours per week. This position is scheduled to be full time with benefits in the near future. People interested in the position will need to submit a resume, cover letter, and Village application before 4 pm on March 31, 2020. The Village application can be found on the Village of Waterford web site or picked up at the Village Hall at 123 North River St. The operator position will work in the public works department in maintaining our water system, sewer system, Village buildings, parks, and all operations of the street department. The applicant will need to have at least a Class B CDL with air brakes or the ability to obtain one in 6 months. The applicant will be required to obtain a State Water license with distribution, disinfection and iron removal within two years of hire. Failure to obtain any of the licenses in the designated time frame will be grounds for dismissal. All applicants must read the full “Equipment & Water Operator” job description on the Village web site before applying. Village of Waterford is an EOE opportunity.
